Q.4 20:10 another method is divide the price difference between both by rice price(because in ques asking in comp with rice)and multiply by 100 because we want to find percentage out of 100.
(30/70)*100 =42,85% (this one is very simple)

    Understand pls
40 % if he get he will pass , ok
But got 20 fails by 40 so total was = 60 right ,if he get 60 he will pass , mainly
You can understand here 60 is 40 % ok

the math of 25:48 can be done like this
if he gets 20 marks and fails by 40 marks it means 60 marks is the passing grade. since 40% is the passing percentage.
    40/100 = 0.4
    40% --- 60
    100% --- 60/0.4 = 150 marks

Question 7 can be solve in a more simply manner
He got 20 marks and he need 40 more marks to be pass
So passing marks is equal to 60 and it is a 40percent of total mark's as mentioned in a question
    So, 60-----------40percent
    Therefore ? - - - - - - - - - 100 per cent
    ? Is equal to 100 percent *60/40percent
    Ans is 150

Shortest shortcut for increment decrement :
    Step - 1 convert % into fraction(dividing by 100 you can convert)
step - 2 if increment is 1/n then decrement will always 1/(n+1) and vice versa.
    Example if 25% increase means 1/4 (i.e. 25/100) increase then decrement will be 1/(4+1) = 1/5 = 20%

    Q.10
In 20% reduction we get 10kg more so,
    20x5=100% same multiply in 10x5=50kg
50kg. Rs 100 because he can buy 100%
    Now simple 50kg -10kg =40kg for Rs 100
    For 1kg=100/40=2.5

in Q11 one candidate got 40% of total votes and yet lost by 1000 votes. if a person to win he must get more then 50% of votes, first person got 40% instead of 50%( so it is conforms the 10% of votes is equal to 1000 votes) so 100% is equal to 10*1000=10000 votes.

Nobody wins an election by 50%, you need 51% to win.
It was clear from the question that the other candidate got 60%.
      So, 1000 votes = 20%
      So, 10% = 500
      100% = 5000 votes.
