Just yesterday this guy walking a huge pit bull let his dog come over to my friend and I where we were sitting and starting sniffing us, I told him: “I’m not comfortable with your dog around me. Please take him away.” The man gave me a look of total disgust, pulled the dog with some considerable effort away, and the dog got annoyed and kept trying to forcibly come back over to us. The man then acted angry and stormed off dragging the dog behind him. Pet owners, If you have a large animal, do not assume everyone wants to pet it.
I have small dogs and I don't assume people want to interact with them. Some people are scared, some are busy, some just don't like dogs. Just as people should always ask before petting a dog, dog owners should make sure people want to interact before they let their dog go up to them.
Just because someone says they are OK after a dog attack, does not mean they are not injured. I mean, obviously she is alive, but that does not negate the fact she was bitten.
