    Yep I was right definitely the UA-cam King of Dad Jokes 😂. Thanks for that I was really in toe that info. I really need to start doing presets and Adjustment Layers??? We didn’t have that in Final Cut Pro 3 when I got started. 😆
    On an unrelated note. I just got the M1 Mac Mini because of all that talking you had been doing about it. GREAT stuff!

    Hey Tom. another great video as usual. I have a final cut question. I currently edit with a folder with all my files on an external 4GBSSD, and then my final cut pro event on the same SSD. i edit then export to my desktop. is it faster rendering if all the files are just on my desktop?

    Great explanation! I need to start using presets! Different topic but have you done a video on how to store something you've created in FCPX for later use. Like an intro or text effect? Should it be stored outside of FCP as a project and then imported on new projects?

    • @tombuck
      @tombuck  3 роки тому +1

      That’s a good question- I haven’t made a video on that. For repeated assets like my title, I just save them as an exported movie file, but for something like a template that you’d want to adjust/modify later I’d recommend creating a new library that’s only for those things (possible on an external disk if you need to save space).

  • @markforeman7082
    @markforeman7082 3 роки тому +1

    I was reaching for my coffee during the intro and couldn’t click thru. So I stayed. Will FCPX apply presets thru adjustment layers to all clips below?

    • @tombuck
      @tombuck  3 роки тому

      That's a really great question and I'm not 100% sure. I'm also late to the game when it comes to adjustment layers, but you should be able to save any adjustment settings as a preset and then add that to new layers in the future.
