Did you do the money exchange in the USA ? Is it worth doing or just take dollars

You can exchange at the airport on arrival in Papeete, Tahiti. But don't forget to exchange it all back at airport before leaving! Back home, the exchange I went to at the local didn't accept coins so I could only exchange the paper/notes back to USD. The bank was no help either. But I used credit card the whole time on Moorea. I only needed cash XPF to haggle at the Papeete market in Tahiti.
