This is awesome and perfect timing. I’m a ps5 player. Was stuck on pure vessel and never could finish 112% after I dunno 100+ hours. I quit for like 5 years. I just picked it back up a couple months ago and did a full play through and got 112% ! I have no desire to do p5 on console haha so I used this glitch to finish that today for the fun of it. Your videos have helped a flippin ton along the way. Thanks ! Can’t wait for silksong and a lot more content from ya !

Little tip, I found that you can also use the button for going into your inventory (for who plays on switch it was the minus button.)
It's ok to use it on p5 or whatever, but after that be sure to do it again without the glitch, you can't lose the real feeling.

I'm beating that legit, but for getting land of storms I'd like to use this to make things easier
for anyone wondering the game saves when you leave godhome so if you wanna fight normal bosses dont do it in godhome :) (tho i do advise playing the bosses normally for the experince, play how you want tbh)

You should practise so you can beat it legitimately, the good feeling only comes when you beat it with no unfair advantage.

There's also an invincibility thing called Descending Dark spell, it's OP af 😎

You can also do this in Crossroads. Ddark (only Ddark works, not desolate dive) and cdash fast, if you can move while holding cdash you're set. Then fireball to stand up and do the dreamgate as normal. It works on switch, latest patch.

I noticed it goes away if you leave Goshome though unfortunately.
Yeah, that’s because godhome is a dreamworld. The glitch resets every time after you leave a dream. But you can save on a bench, use stag stations and even beat Pantheons multiple times without losing invincibility.
I‘m playing on the NS and this glitch still works! I would recommend, to switch your Map-button to the A-Button. The Kings Station is the best place for it. When you’re done it right, and you do this with the dream nail, let go off all buttons IMMEDIATELY, as soon as the knight flashes (just for few frames) white. You can save without losing the invincibility, use the stag station ect, BUT if you go out of a dream world, you will lose the invincibility.

Does leaving godhome trigger a save? I’m trying to do it up by the coliseum but I can’t get the timing right 90% of the time and I want to use that to beat the 3rd trial
Yes, whenever you leave a dream, the glitch will reset. Outside if godhome the best place to do this glitch is near Kings station.
There's actually a much easier version you can get in P5 between Hornet 1 and Gorb. All you have to do is quick map/inventory/quick map, charge a dream nail most of the way, and then dash into the gorb fight.

i actually did use this glitch for P5 but then later i did it legitimately after i got consistent with Abs Rad and on that attempt i almost died to Pure Vessel cuz i didn't use nail lengthening charms
i did use it to beat Abs Rad on radiant cuz i've had enough suffering especially from radiant Markoth and (for some reason) Soul Tyrant.
markoth is vey easy but ye abs rad radiant is way too hard, it's probably the thing I did in the game that's the least worth it

Hi Relyea, as per my comment below, I would like to know if there is a way to cancel the invincibility glitch so you can collect the geo that is dropped. (I already completed my first 112% game legit before finding out about this glitch, took me over 120 hours, and want to see how fast I can do it using the invincibility glitch, but need geo to buy charms etc)

It’s all about timing. You have to start walking and press the map button right when you start falling from the edge. There’s another tutorial on UA-cam which is much shorter but the guy shows it in a slightly different way. You may want to try that out.

Doesen't work on Ps4 if i press X to zoom in it jump if i press O it closses the map😢

When you press the zoom jump button you have to hold it and land on solid ground not water

You cant use the glitch to get to p5 because the screen goes black before you get there so i think it saves.
but after the glitch if i quit the area and i go for anywhere or using station is the bug will not functionned

I think it's patched, i sunk in the water but when i go to the ledge and open the inventory to zoom in it switches the button to close the map instead of zooming and when i try to jump the map closes, am i doing something wrong ?
nope its not patched i can comfirm as ive wittnesed it work on all consoles and hollow knight hasnt got an update in a while so mabey ur just doing it wrong 😁 (aorry for bad grammer)

Yes, It Works on Xbox.
This is why I say you should zoom in to the map. Because if you jump once to the size, it will back out once rather than close the map.
Don’t jump multiple times, just once to the left.
My bad ill try again but I can't zoom in without pressing jump unless there is another keybind idk I'm not sure I might just be stupid I'm new to hollow knight ♞

Can't get to open the map while falling (ps5). I don't get it, stuck at the first step.
Found out that using the pad at the center of the controller worked as well to display the map. Worked for me.

@@RelyeaGaming when i did it, (i was at the king's station) i changed rooms with the cristal dash. So i restarted my game and my invetory was lagging so bad i couldn't do it

Switch does not work at all. You go in the water and then if u try the jump while you are in the menu the glitch will break and u go up the water..
ok. Game over for me. This game is a gem but full of false difficult created to trap players.. like coin up style
It does work, i‘ve done this multiple times on the Switch. Although the timing is very precise and can be very difficult.
@@lisa4471 it works if you don’t do the part with the fall in water..I try by myself and in this way it works..
If i remember right you dont have to fall down. I did have to change my buttons around to pull it off easier.
Also go back and complete it legit because doing the glitch makes the win hollow (not in a good way) and you're doing yourself a disservice.

Im on Xbox series X and when I drop from the ledge with my map open it closes automatically about half way down, any idea why?
On the switch I did see my map auto close a few times. Where it looked like it was working then would close soon after I started falling.

If you fall off the edge you fall for a long time, screen stays black and after 30-60 seconds you get puck back on the last platform you were on

There are videos that show how to do it without water, but I have not tried it yet. It looks a lot more difficult although the steps are the same. I also want to try and see if there is a way to cancel the invincibility (obviously would have to be the no water method, as you can't leave the geo or it will disappear) so one can collect the geo. I have tried looking and no one has mentioned canceling it, so I don't know if it is possible.

I did this years ago and my platinum trophy feels dirty like a hollow victory. I hadn't even beaten pantheon 3 or the trial of the fool or NKG when I resorted to this. I also used a glitch for The Witness platinum so only 8 of my 10 plats are earnt really

ANY GLITCH FOR PC
For PC you can download the mod installer from the Hollow Knight discord.
Then you can get the debug mod which will get you any cheat you want. Much easier than this

@@UromixOn I do my fights legit, even if I am a glitch-hunter I am an honorable glitch-hunter, but do invincibility without Isma's and you sink in acid. It's fun.
@crescent_sun482 eh idk how "honorable" playing a game a certain way can be lol. At the end of the day it's just a game. Ppl laugh at trophy hunters then cry about glitches and cheats when both players are technically trying to achieve the exact same goal of sone type of self achieving mixed with bragging rights. Trophy hunters out for showing off trophies and other ppl out to just showing off they can do a no hit run and so on. While Cheaters are probably the most laid back not giving a flip goofing off lol. Single player games none of it matters really. But cheating in some comp multi-player game is just annoying

Still works on ps5 and if you happen to fall for any reason especially in the final part of radiance just jump all the way down and after your screen goes black youll spawn at the top again
On Switch: Swapped map button to A for easer double tap. Start double tapping a bit before actually being close to the edge while walking. After that got the time right on closing the map screen(also with A), just before hitting the water. Then VERY important, move to the left and open the map screen with the - button. Press A once to zoom into individual regions. NOW, hold left and jump ONCE outside the pool. I found the map kept closing if I didn't do this exactly like specified.
After that it's pretty easy to do the rest of the trick. I find starting the count to 4 seconds ONLY when the charging animation begins. I got the glitch almost EVERY time like this.
For outside Godhome, go to King's station and there is water immediately to the left screen. Kill everything then jump on the second highest ledge from the top to replicate closely the timing from Godhome. I found I could use the map after leaving the screen. This helped finish up Radiance, Godhome, Trial of the Fool and Path of Pain for me.
