- This is John Collura's reaction to watching BAND-MAID / Shambles (Official Music Video) for the first time.
John Collura joined the Ataris as their lead guitar player, piano player, & backing vocalist in 2001. He played with them through 2008 and then came back in 2013-2014. He's currently writing new material and touring with the band.

Just to put it out there, Kanami plays PRS but Miku play Zemaitis and Misa plays Black Cloud bass, both owned and made in Japan.

I... I guess he liked Band-Maid. The conversation kind of veered off that question. The newer "live" releases of Don't You Tell Me or Hate would have been great choices to introduce John to Band-Maid. But Shambles ain't no sham, either! ;-) Anyway, thx, John & Joel! 🤘☺

Did John ever get the chance to play in Japan? Curious about the fandom there.
He was listening to the song attentively, so I wonder if he was actually impressed, even though he won't come out and say it aloud.

Based on John’s non-answer answer, he found nothing worth mentioning about Band Maid.
Even if someone hates it, it would be interesting to know what he found unappealing.
What happened to showing your guests "Don't You Tell ME (Live)" ? Unless this was filmed before you reacted to it.

Nest reaction for John should be Galneryus. Shu, one of the best guitar shredder in Japan, is there. Their live version is much better than MV version.
I definitely prefer Bandmaid when they play heavy.
