In this video I show you how to model a recessed ceiling in Revit and then how to add lighting in that ceiling. You will learn how to model a ceiling automatically and by drawing a footprint. Then I model a light family that is loaded in and placed with the array tool. At the end I create a rendering of this ceiling.
Keyboard Shortcuts:
UN - Project Units
CS - Create Similar
WA - Wall
AR - Array

Can you make a video about inserting solar panels and effects of them on the revit energy analysis??
That sounds like an interesting topic. I will look in to it. Thanks for the recommendation! :)
Sir can u plz make on interior design concepts.
Sir, What is the difference between "model in place" & opening separate "profile" ?
We can also create a strip with parameters like in stairs and use it here right
You do outstanding work! I was wondering, where do you acquire all of the furniture for your renderings? Do you pay for them? Thanks!
please guys some one make a video about creating a projector in lighting family. which has tilt angle light source and non flexible base.
set units in feets & fractional
9:30 WOW
How to know the lux after design the light? Revit can check it?
Hey, balkan i have revit 2019 in my laptop but as you show in light properties is changed by IES files but i have a problem that in my laptop it's missing so please help me where can i download it.
When i placed the ceiling it has a grid on it and it bothers me i cant catch up after the tutorial. After that when i set the camera the ceiling where placed between the wall's height not on top to it.
hello
why When i choos material sun plastic, the rivet program shuts down
sir when i place the family i can see it. i tried every thing from wire frame to try and filter the fixture. and everytime i make that small extrustion in the family the moment it above the light source revit gives an error that the lighting source wont be visible plzzz hlppppppp
Hey, where can we get the metric light family?, it's not in my laptop by default
After loading my family into the project I am not able to place it at the required elevation....please help
Hi, BA. Hope you're doing well and that I'm not too late: I have a problem: The lights rendering on my Revit (2018) are working with me at all. The types 'spot', 'square' and 'circle' lights are too dim upon rendering, and the 'line' lights are too bright. I don't understand why at all. They're all the same intensity and luminosity and color and all, and tampering with the rendering lighting/shadowing dials somewhat improves some light types only to screw over others.
After days of trying to fix the problem in vain, the internet didn't give me any answers other than using the 'Photometric Web' type of lights, of which I have no families. I looked for them but couldn't find any like they show on some UA-cam videos.
Every time I get a bearing it betrays me. Have you any good advice here?
we're working on 3D modelling of istanbul could u help us
I don't have San plastic material then what to use
mine doesnt light up how do i go from there?
creating this many light sources for simple recessed ceiling is crazy. Every single light has to be calculated.... glow material is much better solution
Wow. That's allot of light sources! Would take forever to render if you have a more complex scene..
I've rendered complex scenes with light like this, its not that bad :)
Balkan Architect maybe Revit render calculates these differently. If you use external render then you use it's lighting elements anyway. Wheres the kitchen project from your thumbnail? Thanks for the tut!
Yes you can use external rendering with artificial lighting settings but than it is usually a bit darker so you need to correct that. Oh the kitchen is just an image i hat, that was quite recognisable for recessed ceiling with lighting so I used it for the thumbnail :)
my revit ask where should the extrusion be place? i tried every option but i cant seem to move it up and place in the middle of the ceiling just like in the video
And please when i download some and then i made the rending it hadnt turned on! It was still dark
did you fix it ?
if yes can you tell me how
Where are you from ?
Can you send me this recessed ceiling light
hey man wanna 5,000 sf kitchen cabinet show room right now the building is just a shell, im in the cabinet and granite business
Super tutorial, but so fast I can't catch up, I need to play 0.5x playback speed to at least catch up
Hey! I cant access the library it shows nothing in revit where can i find that
Just google "revit 2017 (or witch ever version you're using) library download" you will find a download link
Balkan Architect ive updated revit library and now its working 👍
Thanks for your kindness
slowly la deiii
Helloo..could ypu please show ymus where to download the file for lighting !! Thank you
tried twice..I could not do this ...
A youtuber by "Piyali Banik" copied your thumbnail and description. At least the content looks different. Not sure if it's a big deal but thought I would let you know.
Thank you for letting me know :)
türk müsün reis
Vedio is not clear
I followed every step, yet mine didn't turned our the way yours did. It lit the entire room and not the opening for the recessed ceiling.. (I can't help but laugh at what I did)
