I applaud what Kelly Rowland did. One of my favorite Korean actresses was treated the same way, Im Yoon-ah. Unfortunately, due to the culture she was raised in, she just went with the flow, not standing up for herself. Heard there was a Latino actress also disrespected the same way. From the footage you could see that security and usher team created a ring around her deliberately blocking her from taking the famous photo on the steps. The smirk on their faces was the ultimate disrespect🙄

Enough is enough. The microaggressions towards black actors and actresses at Cannes need to stop. Hollywood actors and actresses, if they truly believe in treating people equally, need to stand up for their African-American counterparts and demand an apology from the Cannes festival organizers for what has been done to three women at the festival. This mistreatment should not be tolerated, and those responsible should be held accountable.

After I watched some videos in which a member of the girl group, Girls' Generation has gone through a similar accident to this, I am here to say I felt really disappointed that the security guard of Cannes did such rude behavior. At first, I think it was only for few people in France, But after I saw the people of Cannes doing nothing in compensation for the people who have been hurt by racist behavior. Now that I think all France people are the same as the security guard
I also wonder what underlying message or assumptions, E! news are trying to share through a description of the dress code. This emphasis on dress code and dressing room is problematic. Why have E! not unpacked the differential treatment of women at the event, who do not look like Kelly Rowland.

People, go read the protocols and what Cannes film festival director says about it. There, is everything explained, but some people think they can break the rules (which are strict) and expect to be treated like "queens" in this serious and glamorous festival. That's why in the past years this event started to get ridiculous, because some "sweet hearts" think they can do whatever they want without getting banned, and then they feel offended and start with the "racism". If they want respect they also must respect the instructions and strict rules. This year the security was harsh on the rules, which again were not followed.

As someone who works in entertainment security, there are different tiers of celebrity, especially at Cannes and Kelly wouldn't have been viewed as an A plus celebrity, in fact they probably mistook her for a regular guest who was late which is why she was being rushed along... unfortunately security have a job to do which is to move traffic along the carpet before the screening starts.
