Love the videos. Just one suggestion. The audio is what needs help. Mike’s audio comes through crystal clear, but Phil’s is non-existent. Someone needs to have a checklist that says if a guest is going to be on with Mike, whether in an interview inside or out on the range, they, too, need to be miked. This is the heartbeat of any type of media that goes public. If the listener has to strain to hear the person then they’ll be tempted to move on. This is one of the greatest UA-cam Channels on the planet. Just making an appeal that someone makes sure a sound test is done before every video gets recorded. Why? Because everyone needs to “hear” with clarity what Mike and everyone he has on his videos are saying. The material is just too good! I’m an eyewitness to this because it has changed the entire way I now understand and play golf-and I will not retreat to the “old way.” I’m a convert!!! Thanks for all you do for all of us who faithfully tune in each day!

So, it’s not only me! You are exactly right. I strained to hear for just over 6 minutes, then moved on.

Chipping became the best part of my game when I mastered one club to do everything.
I use a 52 for sand shots, bump and runs, flop shots you name it and I use the clock method for different distances.
I think people make the game harder by having too many wedges.

Fascinating discussion. I will never pass up an opportunity to read or watch Phil Blackmar from this point on. Thank you both. As for me, I have settled on Mike Malaska as my go-to guru; everyone else seem to take me a step back in my game.

Old enough to remember Phil Blackmar as an up and comer on the PGA Tour. He wasn't my favourite player, but I appreciated his go for everything style, similar to Phil Michelson. At time I never understood the importance of the short game, so probably;y didn't appreciate Phil Blackmar's short game. I love how Mike brings these people from everywhere, old golf, other sports, today's PGA.or LPGA and shows how their struggles or successes, might relate to your game.

This is an amazing video! He is referring to things that he did as far as scoring that almost don't even seem possible. To hit three Fairways and shoot 67 or 68 in Majors is absolutely bonkers! To me it literally tests my perception of reality to think that somebody could do that. That should tell you the level of skill confidence grit everything involved with that type of scoring. Every amateur should learn to score this aggressively.

Great conversation. Chipping is one of the hardest parts of the game to master because there is a lot of variation. Practicin indoors is really helping me out with technique & feel.

I just found your UA-cam channel and have really enjoyed your content. The thing I like most is the factual stuff you present. No latest and greatest that will only screw up you game. I have struggled with the duffs and the one video I saw where you said shift your weight to the left by tilting your body left which puts your shoulders level and your head a little in front of the ball. Is this correct. Seems to be working good but puts strain on my back. Are you still doing the live shows? Looks like the last one I found was a years ago.

"...I'm just gonna pivot the club around its axis..." swing, click, fly, skeeeeep (precisely off the director's chair)...Mike's face at 0:14 is priceless (watch it happen at 0:12).

Most excellent discussions on chipping technique do’s and don’ts! It’s a must watch and digest for any player looking for a much better chipping game! Thanks Mike, we’ll done! Yes, the guest audio needs attention. Wished I knew you where your home course was while I worked in Mesa.

I enjoyed this talk. I wish I could have heard all of what Phil said. The sound is not very good on some of your videos. I love the way you discribe what is going on in the swing! Keep at it.

Appreciate the fact that Phil addressed all the multiple factors that can produce speed in the swing. Short game is probably the least practiced by most amateurs' in golf BUT its the most important if you want to score. The practice round Watson story was awesome, thanks Mike.

Really like your lessons which has helped me go back to how I used to hit the ball when I started playing golf 20 years back. I was wondering about what you thought of Moe Normans golf swing. Could you do a video on Moe Norman’s swing and what we can incorporate from his swing. Thanks
