for the first variation: “This was early on in the development cycle, so I was just exploring various avenues. Initially I wrote only the intro and played it for Mr Takumi, but the piece never went any further than that.” for the second: “I wrote this at the point when we’d decided to try to include a lot of Japanese elements in the game, so I made heavy use of taiko drums and other Japanese percussion instruments.” for the third: “This was composed at the end of the intensive intro composition period. I wrote with precious titled in the series in mind, but it was rejected in the end because it didn’t have a strong enough The Great Ace Attorney vibe.” -Kitagawa
*previous titles woops lmao. if anyone’s confused on what these are, the special contents in the The Great Ace Attorney - Chronicles has a collection of tracks from the game with comments from the composers. i went and copy+pasted all of them onto some uploads across youtube, at least for all the tracks featured in the game. there are a lot missing lol.
quite similar to T&T’s objection theme so it truly sounds like it’s an ace attorney objection theme, but really glad the sound team decided to do give TGAA its own charm with the official objection theme
Awee, these are so him with the urgent but determined tone, especially with the progression to something more certain with each variation, shame they were left out!
First variation is my favourite in terms of feeling like it belongs to a GAA game (no one gave the first one as their favourite choice yet so I had to lol). Interestingly it seems like the...melody? (idk if that's the right term I'm music illiterate) in common between the three variations seems to have been completely discarded for the objection theme we have now. At least, I don't hear the similarity.
the first variation is a favorite of mine as well!! there’s something so grand and objection-y about the sample! the third variation is a close 2nd as well since it’s reminiscent of the usual objection themes throughout the franchise. But i’m glad they ultimately went with the objection theme that is the official one!
Hey there, Ryuunosuke Naruhodou here! Wow, this is crazy! So it was what the good detective said. What else would happen next? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of The Great Ace Attorney! Wait, is it over already? SIR!!
The first variation is perfect for the setting of Great Ace Attorney with its grand and triumphant tone. The 2nd one is eh, not much to say about it. 3rd one would make an excellent Prelude Objection theme
I wonder, are there any used tracks that hold the primary melody (Naruhodou's part) in the game? There also was such a strong leitmotif going for it- it really could have worked! Sadly it didn't make the cut..
@@Duskdevatabyss I had missed the Courtroom Lobby theme, it also uses the same melody as these. I guess it did manage to be a bit of a recurring leitmotif, so thankfully the composition didn't go to waste.
The first variation sounds like a mix between Kazuma’s theme I believe it’s Nocturne? And a opening jingle in the game (the opening jingle being simular to ryu’s theme) it’s really cool to see both of theses themes merged together! I’m really sad it didn’t make it into the final game though
There are only 4 songs that count as ryunosuke's theme, ryunosuke's memory, overture to adventure, overture to resolve and objection 2015, overture to resolve isn't mentioned, overture to adventure & ryunosuke's memory already have their own so it narrows down to objection 2015 doesn't it?

The bassline for the third variation just *screams* Ace Attorney. I get why they wanted to depart a bit from that style, though.

@@sicksocksocksick it’s similar to the JFA and PWAA objection aswell
If this ever became a tv show, which lets be honest would be sick, the third variation would work great as an intro jingle

Finally, someone said something about the first one :,) its my favorite too!
First one deserves more respect ✊️
Someone loop the 1st variation
third variation is something else :0
sounds like an objection theme
I wish someone would take this and make a full composition out of it, hearing just the intro makes me interested to hear how it could have been!
I agree
Second variation is my favorite
I like the third variation the most :)
Intro on the second one really reminds me of 'Closing Suite' on the ost.
Freakin hell, why can't they fully compose these?!
Because Kitagawa is a COWARD
The third variation 💖
Now hearing the 3rd one again I kinda wished they’d have used that.
I like the third variation
1st variation: Seishiro Jigoku
2nd variation: Genshin Asogi
3rd variation: Yujin Mikotoba
Am I the only one.......but the third variant is definitely like Touhou music
Exactly what comes to my mind, glad that I did check the comments before leaving the exact same comment loll
it's got theme of eastern story that's why
hOLY SHIT IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT
I swear it literally has the Touhou leitmotif
HOLY HECK WE ALL HAVE THIS IDEA
Good! Good!
Those 3 variation are masterpieces.

Beautiful
first variation has the most 'oomf', second variation doesnt really mesh imo, third variation feels the most polished to me
Idk why but the the third one reminds me of T&T’s Objection theme
the strings move in similar progression to T&T’s theme so it’s no wonder!
You hear this melody when the game shows case 1's title card

I just noticed Opening Act (the jingle that plays when you start the first episode) is based on the unused theme
@@Gabo2oo oh, I'll need to see it then.

I like how powerfull the first and second one is, third one is good but is a little underwhelming to be an objection theme
This is not objection theme tho

@@fukaze2021 Ryunosukes personal theme is also called "Objection!" so it's logical to assume these were beta objection themes
0:41 TOUHOU???
I wonder if they can just make this Pheonix's new objection theme in the style of mainline ace attorney of course
