- The Cheesecake Factory Original Cheesecake
Ingredients
Ingredient Checklist
• Crust:
• 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
• ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
• ⅓ cup unsalted butter or margarine, melted
• FILLING:
• 4 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
• 1 ¼ cups sugar
• ½ cup sour cream
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 5 large eggs
• TOPPING:
• ½ cup sour cream
• 2 teaspoons sugar
Step 1
Preheat oven to 475°F. Place a large pan filled with 1/2 inch water in oven
Step 2
Make crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs and cinnamon; add butter or margarine. Press crust onto bottom and 2/3 of the way up a 9-inch springform pan lined with parchment. Wrap a large piece of foil around bottom of pan. Freeze until filling is prepared.
Step 3
Make filling: Use an electric mixer to mix cream cheese, sugar, sour cream and vanilla. Blend until smooth and creamy. Scrape down sides of bowl. Whisk eggs in a bowl; add to cream cheese mixture. Blend just until eggs are incorporated
Step 4
Remove crust from freezer and pour in filling. Carefully place cheesecake into preheated water bath. Bake for 12 minutes; turn oven to 350°F and bake until top of cheesecake turns golden, 50 to 60 minutes. Remove cake to a wire rack to cool.
Step 5
Make topping: Combine sour cream and sugar; spread over cake. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.

I saw a pair of Victoria Crown pigeons at the Gulf Breeze Zoo this weekend! I was shocked to realize how large and muscular (for lack of a better term) they actually are! I saw your video about how strong their wing slaps could be but really didn’t understand until I saw their size and physical statue in person.

My grandmother put a needle or fish hook in the egg. Caught many snakes When the snake swallows the egg they can't digest it and they die . This is a old time way . My grandmother has been gone for years. Good luck . Happy Birthday , Jason .

My recipe is similar except I use 2 pre made extra serving graham cracker crusts instead of spring pan. And for topping pint of sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla. Yummy!
Add 1/2 tsp vanilla to the sour cream topping. Mmmm mmmm good!

I would put the snake trap at the bottom of the pole or tree that goes up to the nest. It had to slither up something to get up there.

A tree mounted surveillance camera that stores in a cloud and has night vision will watch the safety and the hatching of the eggs. The Emu eggs are another great spot for a trail cam. Good way to watch the babies grow without disturbing the nature of it all.

Cheesecake is my favorite. As I have aged I have developed a taste for French Cheesecake. It's light and fluffy, and not as sweet. Sarah Lee makes a lovely one. But, like you, I like the homemade kind the best. Great video today as usual.

I love baking cheesecakes! For Easter my husband wants a white chocolate black raspberry cheesecake. I baked cheesecakes for my daughter's wedding and they were a hit. The waterbath is absolutely important to getting the creamy texture you want. I take mine out of the oven when they barely jiggle in the middle, then turn off my oven and not open door for an hour.

Brooke, I know this is frustrating, but could the snake have gone into the birdhouse and hidden up in the rafters or along the roof? I've seen farmer videos that have found the snake in the rafters tucked away barely visible while they digest the egg (s).
I've had that same feeling, wondering if Brook took a light and really looked along the rafter area.Snakes can really blend in to hide.It's possible that they ate their own egg , Lester's Ostriches ate some of their eggs and didn't leave any shell.
If you ever see a snake in a place and wonder how in the world did he get there, it is probably a rat snake. They love eggs.

I suspect you've checked this, but I was reading a pidgeon article and it said the egg can actually get stuck to the bottom of the sitting bird.
It is possible for them to get stuck. i wouldn't think it would still be stuck a week later though, especially when both the mom & dad were switching daily... I had one broody hen that i kept having to take off the nest... one time, after I sat her down, a few minutes later I saw the egg drop from her, and another time, one fell from a hen and broke as she jumped down.

Great video Brooke , I hope you catch the culprit who stole the VCP’s egg , hopefully they will lay another one and have a successful hatching !! Thsnk you gif showing us how easy it is to make a cheesecake and Thsnk Jason for including the recipe for us, I’ve shared the video to all my friends so they can enjoy your video snd the cheesecake recipe! I hsvexa tip on softening your cream cheese if your short on time for it to come to room temp - I draw a bowl of warm water ( not hot just a nice warm temp) take out of box but leave the foil just as it comes out of the box and put it in the warm water and let sit about 4-5 minutes , then just push the sides between you thumb and index finger to test if it’s softened if not leave a couple more minutes until it is ! Take out when softened and dry off foil and open and use !! It’s a great way to beable to take from fridge and be using in a few minutes , I found this out years ago when I needed mine softened and tried this method and gave been using it since , and it works great to soften for toast or bagels just the amt. you need and put in a small container with a locking lid and put in the warm water a few minutes to use snd spread nicely !! I remember the first nest against the wall. They were building it really well and then just stopped. Maybe whatever this thing is made itself known back then and that's why the birds chose not to nest there.

Hey Brooke is there anyway someone could of stolen the egg? I don't know what all your security systems are on the farm are but there's no telling! People find out something is rare! That means$ So good luck! I'd put a lock on the aviary and a camera up for next time!
I was thinking the same thing just as I saw this comment. Is the aviary secured access when you are not around?
They said on the last live that a person would have to get past several security cameras and their huge livestock guardian dogs and it's unlikely someone could do that without being both seen and held there by the dogs. I believe they also have barbed wire and electrified fences around some areas too because of Moody and the pigs. I don't think a person would be able to get through all that undetected. A lock on the aviary door is a good idea though!

AHA! I just found out it takes about an hour for a snake to crush an egg and then regurgitate the shell. So, assuming it stays in place while it does that, that'd be how long you have before the snake starts looking for a way back out of your minnow trap.

Ms.i too had problems with rats a. A rat snake. I looked all over an when I got to the feed Barrels what surprised a family of rats were living under them with tunnels under grounds. With babies in their nest I set the Barrels back got the good farm cats over to the area an when I left the barrel well you know who was having fun.they hit jackpot. I went to all my Barrels next to each feeding area an let the cats have a blast.i did have to flood the tunnels to make sure know one was let behind I did find a chicken snake an it was near the inside pond area.where the sun kept it warm.i relocate it into the forest. I do wish you well with this. I allowed one of my barn chats to move in to the bird area a n the rat an snake are gone the rats come for any food left out over nite I cleaned up an put the feeders up at nite in the Barrels. Hope all of you have beautiful Easter hugs to all.

I have never made a cheesecake but I have craved a jalapeno cheesecake for years. Don’t know if people make those but it sounds so good to me. Love hot and sweet flavors. Might have to use this way and try to do it finally

Brooke the snake would swallow the egg, but I'm thinking the snake has a way of going under where the building joins the ground in a corner, or through a rat hole in the ground some place in the aviary.
