ive been to this temple multiple times and have drank from that dragon fountain. it’s a beautiful place very surreal. i always get curry udon from the lady at the noodle shop. then an ice cream from the machine out front.
ben Sirach It is open for anyone to visit. But those who are not believers of Nichiren Shoshu may not enter Hoando - the large building . But you can walk around as much as you like. There are also restaurants and shops adjacent to the Temple. There are buses that go to Taisekiji from Shin Fuji on Saturdays to Tuesdays.
HO-AN-DOW is not ugly. It is very majestic and beautifully blends in with the landscape, as is typical of Japanese architecture since ancient times. In addition, the previous main building did not meet the new structural strength standards due to corrosion of the reinforcing steel. It was then forced to be repaired and demolished because of the bad cost. In fact, the Great East Japan Megaquake that struck in 2011 proved the architectural strength of the present HO-AN-DOW.
Peace is the only thing which attracts me towards Buddha and I am so much thankful to those who saved it from disturbance.
I need to visit Taisekiji again. Its been many years since my last pilgrimage.
