I have this same battery charger and it has paid for itself already several times over with bringing several dead batteries back to life with the repair mode and just the great trickle charging ability of this awesome device.
Thank you. It is clear. A lovely dog,
greetings from Spain!!
First thing this fellow cheesehead noticed was the Wisconsin plates on the car and your 100% Wisconsin accent. I live in Arizona now and can pick out the accent in a crowd like nobody's business. Comfort food for the soul. As a sidenote I also have the NOCO G7200... Thanks for the video!
"Well I guess I'm not going anywhere". The exact thought I had before finding your video.
Thanks a lot from italy
helpful video! Thanx!
Thanks for the video...
How long does it how charge for? Like do you have to recharge it every time? I just bought the noco g1100
Getting close to 50.000 subs. Your channel has really grown since I started watching a few years ago...
I don't have that brand but I do have a battery charger - good tool to have about!
RV Batteries were both dead for a few months and it brought both back to life with awesome charging abilities. Yes, you only have to remember that red is positive and black is negative and you hook it up using those guidelines and you will be happy.
Duz it neeeed a elekchrikil ouwtlet to poWer it?!؟؟
Like the way you ran like hell to get that key out when you seen a little power.Just went through getting my key out of my 2008 Equinox when my battery died.Had to change to my spare key as the regular one kept cutting out power when I tried to use it.
highly recommend this purchase!
Ah, thank you! What I needed to know was that it charges up to 80%, then it finishes charging with a trickle charge. I left my ignition in the on position (first time ever) and the battery was drained. So I plugged it in and here I am 24 hours later and only the 75% light is flashing. So....I'm was wondering why it is taking so long. I know this can charge slowly, but didn't know it would go between normal and trickle (thought it was one or the other).
What do these cost? Found a similar one in several boxes of estate sale junk that was paid $80 for. Had it on charge for over 6 hours and still under 25%!
$125 that's not bad! I might look into one of those!
I got one of those...they are great for atv batteries and that.
what extension cable do i need? i would like to use it from the 2nd floor and the unit itself would like to keep on the balkony and only the cable would be down to charge up.
Ryan, that charger might work with some (small) boats, but quite a few of the newer ones have more than one battery (or bank, in the vernacular) on board. I can see using it as an emergency backup in case the onboard charging system failed, but that's about it. Boat owners want fast charging, not a trickle.
I beg to differ...as I dont get to the boat too often I have it on a trickle charge all year round. Its never ever flat when I fire her up. Why would you wait for your battery to die and then just fast charge it? What charger/boat do you have
Ok I see... not a bad little charger. I wouldnt mind that. I have a booster box that I have to carry around for dead batteries... I need to get a new one though.
@how farm works
When does harvest start?
Aren't you supposed to attach clamps to battery post first and then plug in the power cord?
You usually do the positive then the negative then plug it in
"Positive first" and "remove negative first" is the proper order on a negative ground vehicle, ie. almost any vehicle.
Does not really matter with equipment like this. Nothing is going to happen before activating the charger anyway, the clips are insulated, and even if you short it, you only short the (smart protected) charger and not the battery.
If you were plugging in a booster or heavy charger, positive first. Negative goes on the engine or frame away from battery so any sparks would not happen near the battery. Also applies when removing a battery:
it's important to take out the negative first, or connect the positive first.
Tonss Sedell smart chargers don't matter
That is what the manual recommends as well and the opposite when disconnecting.
@@RG-vo1yk Do you have to have this plugged into a house/garage socket to do this (When the charge is already FULL of course.) or can you just connect it to the car battery unplugged and leave it over night?
RYAN LETS MAKE YOU A CHARGER EXPERT. Always put positive on first. That way if wrench or touch a part of vehicle you don't have a short. Also unplug chargers first before you remove terminals. Then no spark will cause a fresh charged gas emitting battery to blow up.I did that and it is not pretty.............
Ryan better watch your video again. You plugged charger to A/C first, then let the + & - touch while moving cords and then hooked up negative cable first.....Sorry to pick at you. I am in Florida now, born in Mukwonago, WI, lived in 8 different towns in WI and grew up in Red Wing, MN were I worked on farms, and helped a friend farm in Poland, Indiana
From your handle (1919) your almost 100 years old and much respect for that generation but todays "smart" charges are totally different from doing it the way you were taught. This charger is smarter then the farmer and this particular charger will not start charging until it goes through a safety procedure before sending current to the leads. So even a 2 year old can now charge a battery. Yes that does say something about the education of our next generation. Craftsmanship is becoming a lost art. Its best to read up on all material, old and new!
Thanks bro just got mine did some research on these things and they work like magic. I just got a Honda accord and the battery died twice on me. :/ Radio + heated seats kill my battery in seconds if I sit idle.
Will it charge the battery
i want 1 now. :)
Not familiar with this model of Noco charger, but have used the GB40. No extension cords. Lithium ion battery. Starts a car or many other things quickly.
tesla (at least S model) also have 12V battery, and there where cases to discharge it totally flat, and it is paint in the butt to charge it(access it). Not sure if something isn't changed since early models, but not expected. So atm every car have 12V battery is correct enough.
is it ok to use a battery when NOCO charger is flashing green?
The instructions say to hook up the positive first then neg and then plug it in otherwise you can ruin the internal circuits that allows it to condition and repair and make it a smart charger. These are supposed to be a very good charger, I got a g3500 for my motorcycle which always seems to have a slight battery drain, maybe because it has a can bus system that includes a anti theft alarm. Thanks for the video!
Convenient that you ordered a battery charger and then had a dead battery
That's better acting than Bill Engvall.
I have the same model trickle charging my JD 2130 with a 100 amp hour battery , it cost me about 2.00 Canadian dollars a year with the average electrical rate of 10 cents a kilowatt hour. The battery on the 2130 is about a year old. Electrical rate vary per time of day , and per time of season . I have 4 other vehicles also on trickle Chargers , the reason they are not used a lot or they are not used over the winter. the cost will increase as the older the battery gets.Norco has models that you can mount on board the vehicle it self, no.co/products/charging/onboard .
You need the bump starter it hooks up and you can start the car then disconnect it with out having to wait for the small charger to charge
Its a damn smart charger so dont matter to put positive or neg first, you dont have to ground it to metal, you cant short it out, if you do it will be the charger... Those requirements are for jumping or not using a smart charger.
My instructions for the Noco G7200 say to hook up +Positive first, then -Negative, and THEN plug in the charger to a wall/extension cord.
I like how he keeps saying it's the wife that doesn't know how to do things, but she would have read the instructions. 😂
what you could do with is a portable starter/jump pack.. very handy if your battery goes flat away from home....
this charged my battery from dead. my ctek never did.
i had to press start about 6 times... but it did it.
my Crek mxs 5.0 wouldn't.
Is this portable can i charge my car battery without having to connect the NOCO G26000 to the main electric?
Don't think so
Does anyone know if NOCO BOOST PLUS GB40 does that same thing?
How long until harvesting
i have heard that these are not rated for below 0 degrees celcius tho. So for those of us in the Snow belt .....might not be ideal.
I am not 100% sure on this tho.
Good video but I think they all recommend hooking up red first and reverse for unhooking…….
You need to show Jamie how to use it now.
can you also use it to boost a dead battery ?
No, these Noco units are for Charge/Repair; not for a spot "jump" to get you back on the road
Can it do 24 volt?
According to the manual it does:
www.batterystuff.com/files/manual-g72001.pdf
I prefer the jumper packs... hook it up, at most give it a minute or two, crank and go. Quick and done and can charge it at your leisure...
Later! OL J R :)
The NOCO also does what you need. In fact that is exactly what they suggest - Connect the battery and just start it.
RyanBattery charges are a good thing to have handy for never know when you will need them. I bought a new one for the around the house but did not buy off internet but Wal Mart but great video. Nice to see your in shorts all you men need to get out the blue jeans lol.
You can tell who the trolls are by the comments...haha !!
Noco needs to put better coating on the wires going to the battery from the charger they just get brittle and crack in about 6 months
Do you live in Wisconsin?
+John Haas ha, I do too
What am I missing?? Charge the NOCO BEFORE you hook it up to the car. Then, connect and NOCO and start the car. Why you started out with a nearly dead NOCO then waited overnight seems like a huge waste of time.
It’s a battery charger. Not a jumper.
#sendryanfood
plz
if your battery is dead (below 9 volts -ish this battery charger wont even turn on in "smart mode" I have two of these neither of them i would recommend to anyone for anything. If your battery is pretty new and not completely dead this should charge it . If its really dead or don't have a whole day to charge it? then this box is useless . And fyi every battery charger operates just as easy black to - red to + plug it in except with an old style high current battery charger it will charge your battery in less than an hour or just have enough current to start your car right away ! this you will need a day in which time this device will spike your AGM bat. with pulses of up to 17 volts AGM batts should never see anything over 14.8 volts 15.2 tops but the first thing th e genius does is jam too much voltage into battery , a battery that has a warning right on the cover DO NOT EXCEED 15 VOLTS DURING CHARGING!. Honestly as a skilled experienced car /motorcycle /boat guy dont buy one of these they suck
If your battery is dead, I thought you had to do force mode and hold 5 seconds then it will charge. Did you try that?
6 thumbs down .I dont see why 6 people dont like this video gotta be the trolls
I thought you weren't supposed to hook a charger up with the battery still connected?
It's ok
@@lexbeltran1354 Even on, say an E55 AMG Mercede,or a Mini Cooper S? I've just heard so much different stuff idk what's right anymore lol..... Just so many electronics in cars these days.
Trade it in for truck
First
You may want to watch the AvE teardown
His review was way too biased and scrutinized every little thing about it. I have one and it works great.
Why don't you have a truck?
they do have a truck for the farm work but he has previously stated in other videos that he prefers a car as personal vehicle.
Don't plug in before you hook it up. Read the manual!
Smart Mode = Idiot Proof.
Ctek is better chargers
*Deader than a door knob.
NOCO JUNK
I've seen the review AvE did on these. Think I'll pass lol
Was just going to mention the AvE review.
He was way too biased in his review. He was pissed because he wasn't getting the full 3.5 amps but it says right on the box it starts charging at a lower rate then moves up to the 3.5 once it's holding a charge for batteries that are practically flatlined.
Mac102004 Farms I've owned the model 1100 for years and never had a problem it works great, if u want to take that Ave guys video at face value he sounded like a idiot and doesn't understand how this thing operates.. I have a battery tender also but I prefer to use the noco!
I watched his vid and made an educated decision, based on what I saw. Do I always make the correct decision? Hell no, but if something looks like shit and smells like shit I'd rather just stay away from it rather than take the risk. I'm sure there is much cheaper options out there that are just as shitty as this Noco with a crustier looking exterior for a fraction of the price...
Mac102004 Farms I don't think it's possible to make a educated decision from watching that video!
GARBAGE,get a real one !
He talks too much
