Do you use 3ds max by chance? Could really use a tutorial on doing redM MLO's using 3ds max as blender seems to be too damn confusing and too many tools and options all over the place that make 0 sense. I make MLO's all day for fiveM but redM is a different beast. Cant find ANY information. Wish teh RedM community was more open and friendly on teaching people instead of gate keeping info for profits
Yeah, for sure! It's something I have been working on but has just taken me some time. Happy to put something together - it will just require some patience.
The things you show in this video do not look the same in my blender when trying to follow along . Is there a update to this video anywhere that I may not have found?
Hi there, I love the tutorial, always been handy - recently reformatted and lost this specific version of sollumz and it is no longer available online - used to be able to use this flawlessly: would you happen to have a copy of that version of sollumz to hand? Would be ever greatful
Tried this a year ago, managed to get my prop to show on the list, but once i tried placing it in the world it would crash my game. Does this still work? Is there a better method/quicker/easier updated way? Also what version of blender is recommended?
Hey great video. Can you make a video where you explain how to adjust the object to create bullet holes? Or can you explain it to me like this? I am slowly despairing.
Been following this and so far its been p helpful! Though im tryna sus out why some objects are making the game crash and others not. I'm suspecting its either the dds compression format for textures or, maybe it just doesnt like me messing with UVs. Ill keep running experiments to see tho
Hi.. is it possible to extract some animals and put them in the Snowrunner game with the animations and etc? Snowrunner is cool, but it's a barren game, it lacks wildlife. Any idea how to do this? make a video if possible.
Heya, thank you so much for the tutorial! I was wondering if it's possible to change out textures for horses which appear as doubles ingame (for example hoseas horse and the silver Turkoman). I made a few textures for singleplayer and I am thinking about if it's possible to change them in RedM too.
You just have to put all the textures into one YTD. As long as the YTD is under 16MB and has the correct name as assigned to the object, you should be good to go! I'm aware but it's not the most easy or fun process. Unfortunately I have no power over this as it's the only way we can do it thus far with the little support R* gives to RedM which slows the pacing of discoveries by modders/developers. :(
I answered this in my discord but basically you need to mess about with your specular maps a majority of the time. This tutorial is rudimentary so I didn't go into that - but normals and speculars are pretty common knowledge so you shouldn't have issue finding info on how to do this on blender! I also believe some people aren't importing their textures in the right format.
So I have a question Is it possible to make new scars as well? The server I play on we work on a ranch and we all just got branded, but I want to be able to see my brand ya know Would I be able to take the pic I have of the design, and make that into a wearable thing?
I've been toying with "sticker" type objects. The attacher we currently use does make things move a fair amount but if you made something flat and small enough - you MIGHT have some luck. I could definitely mess around with it and see!
Making a house as an object would be really bad and frankly quite ugly. You want to make it an MLO so the lighting etc. looks good and it’s healthy for the server!
@@PersOnTwitch I understood! Taking a building that already exists, removing the door in blender I managed, now I don't know how to replace it in the game. To do this, do you just replace OpenIV in some way or do you have to create an MLO and upload it to the server? Is this replacement process too complex? Oh and thanks for the tip! from the answer above ;)!
Not if you do it right. This is a BASIC tutorial to get the concepts. You can add normals, roughness, spec maps etc. in the same way if you understand how. All you have to do is generate them and attach them to the nodes as we would then image texture. Pretty simple really.

Unfortunately it seems your github URL for sollumz modified isn't working... So now i'm not sure how to get it lol
We need more content like this in our lives!
🥰
Great Job!!! I watched it once and feel like i could prob make a cube... Cant wait to see what the Community gets rolling with this. Thank you!!!
A cube is the best place to start! I hope to see some of the cool thing DRB makes!
This is awsome, great job. Best video of making mlo for redm. Thank you.

Thank you SO much for this!
great video, seriously! reckon you can do a video on making an interior of an inaccessible building using blender?
Yeah, for sure! It's something I have been working on but has just taken me some time. Happy to put something together - it will just require some patience.
Nice video :) !
Could you make a video using a house with an interior for example?

Thankyou so much, i saw many videos, but this looks very interesting. I'll definitely let you know if this works for me in (edit)
Love this, thank you! However quick q...what if I don't have GTA for the openIV part hehe?

So helpful!! Ty
Hi, the question is how to make the texture the same as in the blender

Can you make a tutorial for codeX please ?
everything works, but bullets go straight through the objects
heloo what is your blender version? I try to use the sollumz rdr3 that you posted as a link, but errors appear. Specifically, I use blender 4.0
Everything worked fine untill i needed to convert the texture with the CMD prompt. Said it didnt support the file type which was a dds?

Your video is very good! I was looking for how to insert mlo in RDR2 for a while. Thank you very much! Discord channel link is invalid! ;)
Thanks Durango!
So sorry - here you go: discord.gg/pers
Hello Pers! I followed the tutorial to insert a stone portal, however it is a little deformed and without texture. Can you tell me what I did wrong?
Hi! It's a little tricky to answer without seeing it. But make sure that you have your ytd named right and that its under 16mb.
So what do you do with multiple objects to one MLO? How does assigning the YTD texturing for that work?
You just have to put all the textures into one YTD. As long as the YTD is under 16MB and has the correct name as assigned to the object, you should be good to go!

@@PersOnTwitch Thank you. However now converting the ydr is no longer working. It just says "converting drawable FILENAME.ydr..." then nothing.
great tuto, very well explained, i have a question, how i can make it into the single player mode?
Guarma time, redemption creed!!!
why are textur after import of the server lick milk? it's looks very withe...
i have the same problem

Do you have any course to teach how to insert MLO in RDR2? I would like to learn how to create MLO!
You're not gonna get any help. Too much gatekeeping information for the sake of profit going on in RedM.
So I have a question

@@KXNG_BXNZ We all wish it was that easy 😥
@@PersOnTwitch Ehy does it seem to be so much harder to make RedM stuff than FiveM?
Is that how you place a house in the game or would it be a different way?

will there be more videos for making similar things for RedM
Yes! I'm working on a few tutorials, namely for MLOs and such.

how do you export things with codx?
Pretty much a waste of time. Textures just refuse to have color with this process, ignores roughness and normals even.
