Same, I heard that it was getting a 2nd season, but I heard no new updates.
Honestly I would be excited if it weren't for the fact that I can't use Netflix due to the fact they got rid of password sharing they expect me to buy a separate account for myself yet they keep raising the price of Netflix they cancel half of the good shows and keep making seasons of garbage shows that's bs the my mother is better off cancelling Netflix because we got it so the whole family can use not for just one person they expect everybody to accept that they got rid of password sharing when literally every other streaming service competing with Netflix doesn't have this issue
What I loved best about season 1 were the callbacks to those 60's greek myth films that my mom loved watching. I have a lot of nostalgia for those movies.

Netflix is making another anime called "Twilight of the Gods" about Norse mythology.
Krapopolis is another comedic take on Greek myths made by the creator of Community and Rick & Morty. I am enjoying it. But unfortunately both the alt-right and woke mob have decided to hate on it because Greeks are shown as olive skinned and involvement of NFT technology respectively.

Heron has the character development that we all yearn for in these types of shows. From mortal to discover his divinity and assuming his title as a demigod to now have self confidence in himself and questioning the gods

It’s amazing how Seraphim’s influence from the hatred of the gods and their hypocrisy is now starting to plant its seeds in Heron. Then again, Seraphim isn’t the only one to have called out the gods on their BS. It had me thinking of the myth of Arachne, since this trailer showed some similarities. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Season Two!!! ❤
If they mention Aracne I hope that they go for the Ovid version, where she made a tapestry representing like 50 different myths where Zeus, Poseidon, Dionysus, Apollo and co. drop everything to mess with random women (most of them unwilling) and some men (like Ganymede), funny thing was that Hades wasn't there, apparently he was the only god who decided that his work was too important to leave it to mess with random women except for the kidnapping of Persephone (not rape not even Ovid, the guy known for hating authority and Athena with passion called it that) and he gave her everything he had (and she became his "Achilles' anckle" since, in some versions, the only times he bent the laws of the Underworld happened because he can't say "no" to her, he let her go after eating the food of the Underworld because she missed her mother, he allowed Orpheus to take Eurydice on a condition because his music moved Persephone; and he allowed Heracles to take Alcmene's soul back to the living because Persephone loved her story)
There is also another, a certain angry spartan who is very popular at the moment.
And who I hope they are not going to turn heron into.....

@@ShoppingBored god of war didn’t make up characters to create a story. Kratos was an actual character in mythology, maybe not a god killer but he was a son of Zeus. Huron was never a character, neither was seraphim, and the latters name makes no sense since the word “seraphim” derived from the highest ranking angels in the Christian heaven, which served as the eyes of god. And Greek mythology was a good thousand years before Christianity. And there is really nothing on the so called demons. And the giants were heavily inaccurate

Same i really thought they decided to scrap the show. Im shocked and very glad they keept it. Season 1 was so good and kinda wondering what they will do plotwise now because last season was wild.
I love the way they portrayed hermes superspeed and strength and I also love the way hermes and apollo are shown being an elderly brother figure to heron absolutely amazing
Season 1 was an absolute masterpiece! Hermes was finally depicted in a decent way
I liked their take on Hermes, but in terms of the source material he is usually characterized as more of a "lovable thief/ prankster" kind of archetype.
@@julio1148 of all of the Greek gods I think that hermes is the most misinterpreted. But hermetic beliefs predate the Greek mythos where some believe that he's actually older than the gods themselves.

@@julio1148Aphrodite is technically the oldest I believe. Aphrodite came from Ishtar/Inanna. The oldest recorded god we have. So yes, Aphrodite is both the eldest Olympian, and the oldest known deity recorded in all the historical text we have.

THIS i'm so sick of mythology making him the villain just cause he's in the "underworld" but like he was the most chill of the gods by comparison. he was too bogged down by the beauracracy to give a hoot about what happened in the mortal realm unless it started messing with the natural order of things. And even then he was usually more pragmatic than people like Zeus. Like if I was gonna choose between Hades and like ANYONE else i'd rather side with him lol
Seriously, I mean there are plenty of other figures in Greek Mythology that would make much better villains, like Arachne or Scylla seeking revenge for the gods turning them into monsters, or maybe Salmoneus or midas, or even Nyx, there's many directions this could go

Had been worried this was quietly cancelled by Netflix. It's been so long since S1... very glad we're getting more Blood of Zeus.
I love the fact that out of all Zeus’s children. He is the closest to his father as of the ability to manipulate lightning. I’m actually excited to see him progress hopefully with time. He’ll be a even greater thunder god than his father.

This masterpiece is very slept on, I’m so glad it’s getting a second season and finally. Can’t wait to see my boy Hermes again.
You know a show is good when they start advertising its 2nd season premiere 7 months before the date it is supposed to air. Additionally, you know a show is something special when it can go on a nearly 4 year hiatus and people are still pining for it!
The first season was great. I like this depiction of the gods through as it tapped into the specific faults and complexity they had in the myths. The art and music were great too. The music especially had that old “sword and sandals” feel to it.
I also appreciated the extra effort they put into the small things like unique title cards for each episode and the behind the scenes art for the credits.
The first season was unexpectedly yet surprisingly good ! SO glad its coming back.
All I can say is that it's about time we get another season I've watched season 1 so many times glad Netflix is making another season hopefully more are on the way. This show is definitely a masterpiece.
Saw the first season while struggling in the middle of highschool with covid. It honestly was the highlight of staying home all week. Really helped me pull through

Look, this is an incredible show. It is. I’m just absolutely heartbroken at the fact that ‘Seis Manos’, a show with the same animation style and just as much beauty as this one has gone unnoticed and absolutely DESERVES a second season! Please watch it if you haven’t! It’s about a group orphans that learn martial arts when All of a sudden, the cartel gets involved along with black magic and so much more! The characters are INCREDIBLE and the story is immaculate. They don’t cut on the gore so everything is front and center and you feel for their situation. I promise it’s worth your while ❤

The way I frothed when I saw this 🫦 Heron remembering Seraphim is giving me hopes that they will dig into Seraphim as well. I HAVE HOPES. MY BABYBOY IS ALRIGHT. I KNOW HE IS. But also - Heron developing hatred for the gods?! RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY SALAD?! I do have to wonder how, for example, Apollo and Hermes will fit into the narrative then. I AM QUIVERING IN MY BOOTS.

THANK ZEUS for Season 2! I’ve been hoping and waiting for so long! I do get tired of every Greek mythology show/movie being anti-Olympian Gods or making Hades into a Devil character. The Gods are cool and complicated, so tone it down Heron.
The gods have quite literally in the mythology were considered to be pieces of shit who cause a lot of problems tf u mean.
@@shadowx8145 1. The Ancient Greeks did not see their Gods as “pieces of shit” and probably saw their myths with a very different morality that we do. 2. I am just saying most movies/tv always make the gods seem terrible when they are a mix of good and bad. It doesn’t always have to be Zeus vs Hades or humans vs the gods.
I liked the first season. Greek mythology is fun so I’m happy that a new season is inbound.

I understand Heron's way of thinking but honestly, gods from this series are way more tolerable than their mythological counterparts. If they were any closer to what myths describe them as then I am positive that Heron wouldn't hestitate a second to join his bro Seraphim and help him show them how it feels to be raped for a change.
to be fair Heron only know the gods for a short time, and they need him, so they behave the better around him
