So much interesting history, but there was more than I could absorb at one time. Like you said, it was "information overload", so I'll need to watch this again. I particularly enjoyed seeing those relics and artifacts in the beginning. Thanks Bigwillz and Hannah for another enjoyable episode!👍

The history non clear at ooo. At of 51 Oonis only four grave site was found, what happened to the 47 32:05 Oonis bodies? He said they dissappear and Some turn to Iron, this is what I called a waterside history without historical bearing, based on myth, lies and propaganda

Mary Slessor did not have anything to do with twins in Yoruba land. Twins in YorubaLand have been considered deities and sacred and there is no record of them ever being harmed. The tour guide made a mistake. Mary Slessor did not work in the Yoruba country region.

Thank you for the tour of the museum. I found the weighing scale interesting. I think of it more as a volume scale. It'd help the trader/buying ensure consistency in volume of whatever item it was used for.

Ooni Luo is said to be the only female Ooni but certainly wasn't the only female king in Yoruba Land as said by the guide. There is also said to have been at least one female Alaafin.

It is called Egungun, not "Masquarade," which is a derogatory name given by Europeans to put down our cultures. As someone from a royal family, Obas must not be buried outside.

National museum of arts? Why is the place not lit? With so much unemployment in the country, why can't they employ workers to cut the grass and maintain the yard? The parlance is also not lit. Why don't they publish their admission fees, if they have it?

Luo is the reason women stop being king in Ife, though we’ve had 2 female kings in Oyo, and places in Ondo usually have female has regents, they’ve also had female kings, buh Luo taught other Yoruba cities to stop allowing women become king and she was extremely powerful

Another lies and fallacies. He said Obalufon spent 450 years on the throne, that's another pure lies, no human being on earth that can spent it, all are myth. If Obalufon existed, how comes Oduduwa of nine hundred years ago his now the progenitor of yoruba people? It doesn't make sense.

Who is this woman saying nonsense? Yoruba stopped killing of twin thousands of years before mary slessor came to Africa. And she never came to yoruba land. She stopped the killing of twins in igbo land.

    • @Bigwillz

I'm sure she said that in error. Like you rightly pointed out, the killings was stopped in the east.

@nmg1909 There is no rule that says that, but you wouldn't it, out of respect for their language and for communication and to properly connect to the people. Do you know the joy it brings to people when you greet/speak their language.
