Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

One of my oldest friends, we've been friends for over 50yrs, and her husband are both PHD's, other close friends are lawyers, business owners and other "prestigious" jobs. We were all going out with a group of other well educated people that they knew. I was dreading someone asking me what I did for a living, because I felt inadequate. So someone asked, I replied that I was a home support worker and that I cared for the elderly in their own homes, including palliative care. Everyone started praising me for the work that I did, and saying how difficult the work must be. I realized then, that the only person that I needed to impress was myself. I never poo pooed my contribution to society again.

Hardest job EVER! I worked in a care home for people with dementia. There was a couple who kept sneaking into each other's rooms (forgetting their zimmer frames) and it often ended with us needing to get them off the floor...then George died. And the lady in question just kept going to find him. It absolutely broke my heart. This was over 15 years ago and it will live with me forever. I have the utmost respect for anyone who can do your job. I still tear up thinking about those two.

@@victorrutledge257 If there were thought police, I'd have multiple life sentences, not for thinking someone is cute, but for all the times screaming kids playing outside my condo woke me up at dawn (9am) and I wanted to go kick them in the mouth with all my might to see which one landed the furthest. For wanting to shove a woman in the grocery shop who was totally unaware her cart was blocking me and I had to go back and through another lane. For wondering, when I was feeding the ducks at the lake and a vicious swan started hissing at me because he wasn't getting all the food, if it would die if I kicked it really hard in the head, and if that was a crime. For sometimes wanting to kick someone or something just because intrusive thoughts. Mind you, I'd never actually do any of those things, but I'm only human, and I can't deny the thoughts have crossed my mind, so if thought police existed, I'd be fucked. 6:38 Thank you! I gave up after 2 years taking Chemical Engineering in University because I hated it and found it very boring. My parents were very disappointed. I went into construction, residential framing. I was at one of my old close high school friend's house and was talking to his parents. As I described what I was doing I apologized for not achieving my potential. They were so floored and horrified that I was apologizing. I'll never forget what his dad said. I have relatives in Houston who have "high-paying" jobs in petroleum industries. They also have to work such long hours they barely see their families, and they can look forward to taking early retirement for medical reasons, as they spend their last years battling lung cancer, COPD, leukemia, and other diseases from constant exposure to benzenes, lead, hydrocarbons, asbestos, and other nasty stuff I can't spell.
At least one relative, my cousin's son, developed mental illness and paranoia. He was a chemical engineer for a big oil company, he bought a beautiful home, had a nice boat, big "compensation" truck, a beautiful wife and adorable little boy. He was living the dream, but he jumped down the Q-anon rabbit hole and went to the Capitol on the 6th and committed felonies. He's in prison now, his wife filed for divorce, their dream home is gone along with all his toys. I haven't seen him since he was a child, but he was such a smart, well-mannered kid who worked hard at school and made A's. It's heart-breaking how he threw it all away.

Sorry to be sappy but that last one I took to heart. That made me feel wanted by at least one man/or woman In the world!!! Gave me a little confidence boost! :)

Good morning Charlotte! Miss Toocus and I are waiting for football to come on. Let’s hope it doesn’t lead to more disappointment:(. Go Panthers? Go Packers?….

As a writer, I work from home and did not came out often, other than for groceries; my friends are writters too, so we each live in our own grotto, but when I meet someone "real", and I said "I'm a Writer"', he or she start smiling that weird way "did she kidding me?" like and immediately after ask me what my real job is... I hate that !

I asked reddit to roast me a few years ago and it made me take out my lip ring, so to answer your question Charlotte, no I don't regret it lmao
(No shade to anyone with piercings, but they were right it did not suit me lol)

I used to make about 50K+ a year working part time as a server on the beach in Hawaii. I used to laugh when people would ask how I could survive on “just tips” well I was really fucking good at my job and I LOVED it.
