  • After trying to break into the music business in the 1960's, Washington, DC native, Terry Huff, joined the Washington DC police force. However, in 1974, the music bug was still itching and Huff joined the group, Act 1, who were recording on the Spring label at the time. Act 1 left Spring and signed with Mainstream Records and changed their name to Terry Huff And Special Delivery. I Destroyed Your Love, was the group's debut single on Mainstream, released in 1975, and became a hit in DC and several other east coast cities. The follow up was , The Lonely One, released in 1976 but wider recognition and sales weren't achieved and the group faded into obscurity.
