1 2inch thick T-Bone Steak
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder
2 tbsps butter
2 tbsps avocado oil
rosemary and thyme
2 cloves of fresh garlic
4-5 strips bacon
1 lb brussel sprouts
avocado oil
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, sazon
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 275 degrees. While you allow your steak to come up to room temperature, season generously with your preferred seasoning. Place your steak on a wire rack and into the oven for 45-60 minutes or until the internal temperature registers 115 degrees (for my medium rare folks). Next, get your skillet screaming hot and add a high smoke point cooking oil. Lay the steak away from you and press down firmly. Sear for 60-90 seconds (until a nice crust is formed). Flip the steak and add butter, herbs, and garlic. Baste thoroughly and remove the steak from the heat at around 130-135 degrees (for med-rare). Your steak will continue to rise in internal temperature by about 5 degrees during the resting period. Allow your steak to rest for about 8 minutes prior to slicing.
Steak Doneness Guide:
Rare : 125-130 degrees F
Medium-Rare: 130-140 degrees F
Medium:140-150 degrees F
Medium-Well: 150-155 degrees F

How do you cook them? My Aunt used to cook it when I was a kid and let's just say I'm scarred for life. The only thing I do with brussel sprouts is put them in the trash. 🤢

We had this dinner 2night! But with a garden salad 🥗 instead of baked potatoes 🥔! It was delicious 😋!!
I have been doing Brussel spouts all wrong Hahaha. I do cut off some of the bottom core and wash them to get off the dirt. I use melted butter, garlic, salt 🧂 and pepper and some soy sauce and grill them in foil packs. So delicious 😋!! Its a must try recipe imp! I will start cutting my spouts from now on. They do take a while to cook when they are not cut into halves.

Pork police here, I grew up eating beef bacon and it is rare where I live. I typically use it in my fried cabbage. I actually made beef bacon brussel sprouts for Thanksgiving because I was over collards 😂!

Medium-rare is the way to go. And same with reverse-sear. Perfect done-ness + being able to walk away from the kitchen and let the food cook without worry.

Loved the Brussel sprouts Recipe For people who don’t eat pork or looking for an alternative the beef bacon will really get you right, I have no missed regular bacon since I tried the beef just a little more expensive and a little harder to get.

Will try the brussel sprouts that way. I eat waxy potatoes to cut down on the starch. Will go ahead and cook my steak well done and it will be fork tender. It boggles my mind how so few know how to make fork tender well done meat.
