  • There's a reason the DR-Z is the highest selling dirt bike in Australia, it's bullet proof! This year Suzuki sent us a slightly modified version, with some simple changes that any new (or old) owner can make to get some extra performance

    I have a 2007 drz in daily use. Still an honest and fun machine with low maintenance and great reliability.

    DRZ's are for the people who don't care about having the latest bike, with new technology and looks. It's for the people who like to ride a motorcycle like it's meant to be ridden. Everywhere and anywhere. Fast or slow, it doesn't matter, it's all about the fun levels and the DRZ's fun levels are high.

      .....it's why my first bike, a 1980 DT175 will remain special. I went everywhere on that bike, flogged and it never failed.
      Today I picked up a 2019 DRZ400e with less than 300kms on the odo. I'll be much nicer with this bike compared to the DT. I want to keep it for ten years.

    These are actually quicker than you'd think. If your not on your A game it will throw you off. You can also bring in the dairy herd with this bike. Value for money is massive here👌

    Yeah the good old DRZ is definitely a great bike and it seems like with the modifications you guys made take that bike from being a great bike to a amazing bike off road.

    Best off road all rounder I reckon. Get Hoey suspension in South Australia to do the front and rear suspension for fast sand and you will not believe how good these things handle. Kick the ass of these cashed up Ktm riders. And absolutely reliable. Best value dirt bike for Australian conditions.

      Haha really? Do they go alright in the sand? Obviously there not going to be anywhere near ktm level

    Just gave a mate my 2001 in exchange for some painting. What do I get next hmmmmmm? I just keep coming back to the massive list of pros next to the tiny cons list and I think I might need to ring Suzuki :) Best bike ever made in the world fullstop. The Australian SAS use them that suits me just fine.

    • @tezzanewton
      @tezzanewton 5 років тому +1

      Dominic Hart. Plus they don’t need to be rebuilt as often as the Husky. Husky recommend a full rebuild every 75 hours 😱. I spoke to my dealer who said that the way I ride, 150 hours would be fine. So that will be this year on a 2017 bike.

    The stock bars don’t bend all that easy it’s the rubber bushings in the top triple that hold the bar clamps that get bound up. Zeta makes an aluminum replacement set that will keep your bars from getting tweaked after a spill. Check out my channel, I have an install video.

    • @6226superhurricane

      this is a 400e not a supermoto. they come with basic steel bars that do bend. you take them off and fit a decent bar with a bend that suits

    I hear "it's time for something new" alot in the comments...I own more than one dirtbike. My wife tells me at least once a week. This bike is more bike than alot of riders can handle. I see a lot of bikes for sale on Craigslist without a scratch. Just ride the damn thing...you don't always need to have the latest and greatest to rip up dirt,you just need to ride to rip dirt!

    • @kylewest2826
      @kylewest2826 5 років тому +3

      Soooo true. Everybody thinks they NEED more power, especially sumo guys. I'm thinkin, you can't even ride a 125cc four stroke like a trials bike, what makes you think you need a 500exc-f? Or sumo-ed 450? They've got no real riding skills outside of wheelies they have to chase, and think MORE power is the solution.....dead wrong. They're just shitty riders who never practice skills and are bad riders. The dude who can trials bike a 150 is always the best rider.

      @@DonHavjuan you can have fuel injection. I run a pretty much stock 2015 DR650 I've changed the muffler that's it. I run it on Avgas. starts first time in all weather conditions. I've just bought a brand new DRz400e and its brilliant as well. I've owned the DR650 since new never had a drama with the carby. I ride with blokes on Euro trash bikes they have nothing but trouble on most rides..
