    Thanks for your concise demonstration. I was wondering what the cutting blade was (no instructions in the box). It would have been interesting if I had forgotten to put that in!

    someone commented on another video that there are sausage stuffing attachments inside the pusher. I guess thats why the lid comes off, but it sounds like yours was just empty?

    I see you have done the same mistake to put your funnel to dishwasher.. Perfect way of getting the shiny plating off of those aluminium parts. Afterwards read the manual and sure it states in bold not to clean them in dishwasher. But who read the manual anyways. ;)

      I read the manual and I still forget. Old age is catching up with me. 😆

    Is it me of does Australian mince from the supermarkets seem high in moisture content. How do you find store bought mince in comparison to mincing your own, in terms of moisture content.

    • @BakeandcutInfo
      @BakeandcutInfo  3 роки тому +1

      Personally, I find that mincing my own a much better product.

    would you recommend buying the kenwood attachment over buying one of the reasonably priced meat grinders of ebay ?

    Hi,any advice for an easy way to clean plates,just used mine (medium) and I had to poke it with a bradawl to clean it,the fine one would be even more difficult

      I always wash mine straaway and what does not come out I use a bamboo skewer to poke through.
      Good luck

    Can it mince up a chicken carcass if I chop it into smaller pieces?

    Bearing in mind I like a decent quantity of fat in my mince, which cut of lamb, beef or pork would be preferable for mincing for pasta sauces, lasagna?

    • @BakeandcutInfo
      @BakeandcutInfo  6 років тому +1

      I buy rump. Don't eat pork. And lamb is too expensive to buy.

    • @carpii
      @carpii 5 років тому +1

      use shoulder cuts, they make great mince with a good amount of fat. So that would be beef chuck, lamb or pork shoulder. You can also use belly, sometimes I mix a bit of pork belly into the shoulder

    I'm having problems with my mincer/grinder. I find the meat becomes mushy or pasty however I do it. It is most pronounced if I pass it twice, but even on one pass through the medium wheel it gets pasty. Through the big holed wheel it is tolerable, but still a little pasty. I've tried putting the parts in the freezer and cooling the meat to just above freezing, but still get the same result. Also different cuts of meat doesn't change this. The mincer is only one year old and probably only used maximum 15-20 times, so I doubt the knife is dull. Any idea why I have this problem?

    • @BakeandcutInfo
      @BakeandcutInfo  4 роки тому

      Hey there,
      No I don't, I have never had that problem, the only thing I can suggest is try changing the size of the plates
      Sorry I am not much help, all the best with it

    • @710LENNY
      @710LENNY 3 роки тому

      Having the meat and the machine cold should fix your problems, but if not you could try spraying the inside of the grinder and the auger with cooking spray. It's helped me quite a bit.

    I have been looking everywhere I can think of for this attachment and haven't been able to find one. I have looked on Kenwood Canada's site and Amazon.ca. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

    • @710LENNY
      @710LENNY 3 роки тому

      I don't know if you have found anything in the last 2 years, but I just checked Kenwood and this attachment is no longer available. The only attachment they list is the pasta roller. I was looking for instructions on how to use the sausage stuffer attachments as I can't find my instruction booklet.

  • @MaZEEZaM
    @MaZEEZaM 6 років тому +3

    The quality of the Kenwood Chef itself as well as all its attachments are far superior to what you see on Kitchenaids.
