Thanks for your concise demonstration. I was wondering what the cutting blade was (no instructions in the box). It would have been interesting if I had forgotten to put that in!
someone commented on another video that there are sausage stuffing attachments inside the pusher. I guess thats why the lid comes off, but it sounds like yours was just empty?
I see you have done the same mistake to put your funnel to dishwasher.. Perfect way of getting the shiny plating off of those aluminium parts. Afterwards read the manual and sure it states in bold not to clean them in dishwasher. But who read the manual anyways. ;)
Is it me of does Australian mince from the supermarkets seem high in moisture content. How do you find store bought mince in comparison to mincing your own, in terms of moisture content.
Hi,any advice for an easy way to clean plates, just used mine (medium) and I had to poke it with a bradawl to clean it,the fine one would be even more difficult
I just got my spare grinder... My Kenwood Chef aged about 25 years now. I just happrned To discover that inside the black parts have lors of pieces for sausage making... lol and i am so happy about it.
What would you like to see? Might be a good time to get more attachments for it, any reason is a good reason to buy more attachments for your Kenwood, right? Well that is what i tell my husband when I want to spend money on it. : )
Bearing in mind I like a decent quantity of fat in my mince, which cut of lamb, beef or pork would be preferable for mincing for pasta sauces, lasagna?
use shoulder cuts, they make great mince with a good amount of fat. So that would be beef chuck, lamb or pork shoulder. You can also use belly, sometimes I mix a bit of pork belly into the shoulder
I'm having problems with my mincer/grinder. I find the meat becomes mushy or pasty however I do it. It is most pronounced if I pass it twice, but even on one pass through the medium wheel it gets pasty. Through the big holed wheel it is tolerable, but still a little pasty. I've tried putting the parts in the freezer and cooling the meat to just above freezing, but still get the same result. Also different cuts of meat doesn't change this. The mincer is only one year old and probably only used maximum 15-20 times, so I doubt the knife is dull. Any idea why I have this problem?
Hey there, No I don't, I have never had that problem, the only thing I can suggest is try changing the size of the plates Sorry I am not much help, all the best with it
Having the meat and the machine cold should fix your problems, but if not you could try spraying the inside of the grinder and the auger with cooking spray. It's helped me quite a bit.
I have been looking everywhere I can think of for this attachment and haven't been able to find one. I have looked on Kenwood Canada's site and Amazon.ca. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
I don't know if you have found anything in the last 2 years, but I just checked Kenwood and this attachment is no longer available. The only attachment they list is the pasta roller. I was looking for instructions on how to use the sausage stuffer attachments as I can't find my instruction booklet.
@@BakeandcutInfo Thanks! I've read some instructions that say you should even put the grinder in the freezer before using- that seemed a bit extreme for me

I read the manual and I still forget. Old age is catching up with me. 😆

Personally, I find that mincing my own a much better product.
Or clean with onion shame not stainless steel and dishwasher safe
It sure is a shame, it is Kenwoods downfall
would you recommend buying the kenwood attachment over buying one of the reasonably priced meat grinders of ebay ?
Perfect thank you just got Kenwood Chef XL Titanium , love it in side my black pusher i have a few plastic disc etx any idea what they for ?
I am not sure which pieces you mean, gave you seen similar parts online?
If so comment a link and I will see if I can identify them.

I always wash mine straaway and what does not come out I use a bamboo skewer to poke through.
Good luck

Can it mince up a chicken carcass if I chop it into smaller pieces?
I don't know to be honest, but I put chicken necks through with no problems. you can give it a go and see if it works and let me know.
Cheers

Awesome, thank you! Can we have more Kenwood videos please?

Thank you so much for such a great demo. Hope you all the best 💐💐
Thank you! Glad it helped.
I used have one but mixer died you can buy stand alone machine Kenwood mg510
My advice don't wash in the dishwasher - spoils the metal - it gets dull looking.
Agree. I find that is the down side of many of the Kenwoods add ons

I buy rump. Don't eat pork. And lamb is too expensive to buy.

Hi there,
You sure can. Just make sure it is spotlessly dry.
Cheers
Thanks. About to use mine for the first time. You sausage and kebbe attachments should be inside the black plastic pusher!
Couldn't figure out the instructions that came with the machine, this video is really a big help! :D
you are welcome, so glad that I could help : )

Thank you for this, I am considering buying this attachment as the quality of meat I get from our local Woolworths doesnt seem that great.
Bought mine after Uk horse meat scandal

The quality of the Kenwood Chef itself as well as all its attachments are far superior to what you see on Kitchenaids.
Agree totally
Thanks for the demo. For some reason I couldn’t get mine to work but after watching your video all was good.
Hi Kim,
That is wonderful, so glad I could help!
your sourdough bread looks good!
Good vid madam, thank you!
Thank you. Glad you liked it.
You are wonderful thanks for the effort
Hi. Does the meat heat up at all during the mincing? Thanks!
Nope. Not at all
@@BakeandcutInfo Thanks! I've read some instructions that say you should even put the grinder in the freezer before using- that seemed a bit extreme for me
It does go through mincer better when the meat is.more cold
@@BakeandcutInfo Thanks! I just ordered the attachment... Can't wait to try it out this weekend! Thanks for all the tips 😊
You are welcome
Can it mice up chicken necks

Thank you 😊
Mam please tell me where can i repair my kenwood
You will have to google it for your country :)
Mam your represtation is awesome God bless you!!!!
Thank you ❤
can I use this attachment for a quick shredding of carrots and cheese?
it would crush them , not shred, you would be better off investing in the shredding attachment
Thank you for your prompt reply.
How long does it take to mince say 1kg of Meat? Thanks
maybe 5 minutes, never timed it, but certainly not long. The set up takes more time then the mincing.
BakeandCut thanks!
Thank you so much ❤!
