All this about the Tuna Tower.. i spent so many hours and soooo many miles up there, i forgot there even was a down below... Loved every second of it. We even had a pully for food and a pee bag do you didn't have to go down... the whole day lol was great.
These were built for Jim Moran a car dealer and Toyota distributor in Florida and the south east United States, I worked for him in the late 80’s early 90’s and he was Feadships largest individual customer. I believe he built 6 or 8 additional yachts thru them and while he was alive he never sold any of his ships …. All were named The Gallant Lady and ranged from the 87’s here up to about 160 or 175 feet back in the 80’s and 90’s. He was a great man to work for as well always treated his people or as he called us “associates” very well.
Thanks to the Nauti-Nauts for a great tour!! Very nice boat, nice woodwork - So much better to my eye than many of the brand new yachts. It will be great if the new owner of this boat can use her to promote the charity's values and good stewardship of the ocean.🤩

Totally BAD ASS! Nice wood work all around. New respect for the Feadship yard. When Rico was in the crows nest, he was above the 2nd floor of the house next door.
I like! Clean. Well maintained. The engine room was immaculate. The view from the crows nest was great. If it weren’t for my bad hip, I’d have no qualms climbing up there.
Beautiful! As to the tuna tower I would put a cage around the ladders and that is just because of my age. As Rico was climbing, I was thinking about 4 to 6 FT swells!

@@NautiStyles Yes, but could you put on the bait fish on the hook for my wife and take the catch off the hook for my wife. I would, but it would be very hard for me as I'd be up with the sea god's looking down.
That is the very first Sport Fisher I've ever seen, that I would love to own. Magnificent Vessel. A Veem down low would be amazing on that yacht. Wanna go fishing y'all? LOL
I can tell you from experience on a 65' sportfish with a very tall fly, it gets REALLY bad up there in bad sea conditions. You better be holding on with everything you got, or be harnessed in, because the top of those things can swing 10-15' side to side very easily.
@I-am-awayTOM maybe both! In bad sea conditions, and without a Seakeeper, you would be hard pressed to even climb the ladder holding a beer, much less be able to have a free hand to drink one while up there. Even more fun is being on top of a 65'+ sailboat mast in a huge beam sea! Those things can swing 40' or more, and do so VERY fast. I had to replace a line on a Catalina 425 once in some nasty shit, and it was one hell of a ride the whole time!!!
I was a regular marine electronics on one of these back in the late 90s. On the bridge, in the chart plotter cabinets, were big CRT radar displays. That was a few years ago. Everything on the bridge is bringing back memories. The colors in the salon are the same colors as I remember. Might be the same boat. Amazing. Refit time is about the same as the one I worked on.
Drinks to the crow's nest? Electric elevation device or pneumatic lift, like a Pneumatic tube system, and send your beer straight up! Watch the pressure though, or you'll have beer in orbit. The ISS won't mind. Rico was right, beautiful view! Victoria, why didn't you just walk up the dock, instead of crawling along the bulwarks? I don't think this will work for bass fishin', but, hell, I'm willing to try! Beautiful boat guys, thank you!
The most beautiful boat you have toured. The best word I can use is 'graceful'. 😊 All those mirrors in the staterooms make them appear really spacious. Without the mirrors, the rooms would seem really cramped. One more thing I would like is some sort of stair or ladder between the bridge and salon, to allow movement out of weather.

As a kid I fished off the sister vessel (Toy Won) many times. Toy Won was owned by a very wealthy Toyota dealer whos son happened to be one of my best high school buddies. They also had a 70’ Rybo parked right behind the fed ship. The scene would play out like this. on any given Friday at lunch break My buddy would ask our friend group if we wanted to go fishing. He’d then call his captain and ask him to get the boat ready we want to go fishing. After school we’d all show up at the house get on the boat and go to Bimini and fish all night into the morning. After that we’d pass out and wale up at the dock. It was an amazing life as a kid…
I was tied up next to one of the "Gallant Lady" sportfish boats but not sure if it was this one. She was on my port side at the end of E-dock at Bahia Mar. Didn't expect this from Netherlands boat builder. Looks definitely 'US' in it's towering flybridge and observation deck. Good tour thank you Victoria and Rico 👍👍
It was specifically built for an experienced American businessman and his wife. Because of the expense of the engineering and design for what was a new custom vessel, they had to buy two identical yachts.
Not just a bucket. This is not a dinghy. You get a small ice chest. You create an insert for the top, inside, that has cup holders and holes for bottles, and you fill the bottom with ice. You rig two pullies, one for each side, attached to the handles on either side of the ice chest. You might actually want 3 or 4 attachments, to keep it mostly level as it goes up and down.

One of the USN Destroyers i was stationed on i had to climb the forward mast . To replace the ships horn located near the top of the forward mast on a very small mast extension.
