Great show and great to see them shown here. I have to say that Bess and Mary made up the most beautiful team I have seen on this show so far. Gorgeous, elegant and beautifully dressed. You'll never see that ever again.
I like Bess and Tom is a pip! You can tell that Tom and Bess have great affection for one another and it's nice to see that. I really enjoy this and many thanks to the man behind it all!
I like to watch this show cause then I look up their "upcoming" work and see if if was any good or what it did. Kinda interesting when you know the future.
@@davidcatasciavone1109 I didn't know that we Black folks *had* to be with White folks everywhere 24/7. I'm a little disappointed Tom seemed to have intentionally blurted out "infatuated" when he really should've given his partner one last chance to guess the password. Other than that, a very enjoyable episode. Thanks!
Believe it or not, this is my first ever look at Bess Myerson. Absolutely the finest Miss America I can think of. Also, just like Lee Merriweather, she has aged like fine wine 😊. Just before the clue spear was given, I thought of wintergreen because I do believe it is one word 😮
The female contestant would have been happy to have that $250 prize. Her husband was a schoolteacher, and in 1962 they earned less than $6,000 per year.
Poston and Pleshette had been involved romantically in 1959, when they acted together in the Broadway comedy Golden Fleecing. They remained friends for many years, but each married someone else. After they were both widowed, the deaths of their spouses brought Poston and Pleshette together again, and they married in 2001. They remained married until his death from respiratory failure in Los Angeles on April 30, 2007. She died the following year, and they are buried close to each other.
Not at all hard to watch. In fact, it reminds me of how some of us had to watch tv back then due to poor or erratic signals. I am just thankful that we can watch these episodes after all these years. Thanks for uploading.

Thank you for sharing these great episodes of "Password" 😊
Jim was a superb Password player; it's amazing how many times he was able to infer the correct word from some rather esoteric clues!
Bess Myerson- 100 years on 2024 R.I.P.
Allen Ludden, you're Numero Uno in my book for hosting this show! RIP! Thank you and big respect!!!
Tom was so FUNNY and charming!

I think it's cute how touchy-feely Bess is. :)
Why !!!!????
It is so wonderful how much she likes people. I have never seen a celebrity *and a female at that* who loved to touch folks more.
@@kenbrown438 why not?
Bess really left Allen speechless with that "delicious" comment 😀
Ms Myerson has a great laugh.
Bess Meyerson was the most beautiful lady when I was growing up....a lovely lady...
LOL What's funny after watching a few of these old episodes is that the reuse a lot of the words.
That is surprising. There is no shortage of words in the English language.
Yeah. I HATE that. It feels like a cheap trick of some kind.

Miss Myerson led a fascinating life. A lot of people treated her very poorly.
I was so glad she was completely acquitted after all that scandalous nonsense.

I liked that. He knew his partner wouldn't get it anyway, and I've never seen anybody else end a word that way.
Tom Poston had me rolling when he got frustrated on the password infatuated and just blurted out the word and said "he doesn't need the one point"
It was a lost cause anyway.

She needs some meat.
Bess Myerson died in 2014, she was 90.
I think even as a first clue for "Fail," one, in that Passwordian way to denote an opposite could possibly use "Succeed……"
Really surprised neither said besotted as a clue for infatuated, or flunked as a clue for failed.
Best clue for infatuated would have "attraction" on the later tries
For mint I would have said julep.
Well, look at young Bess Mess...
Tom seems a little sour.
$1100 is about $10k in today's money.
I wonder how many of the male contestants go home to angry wives with all the touch-feely with the beautiful women on the show.
Fewer than the women who go home to angry husbands.
Myerson looks controllably pensive, considering her ex-husband, Anthony Wayne had committed suicide the week before that show was filmed.
