Angie was stunning and what a voice! I saw her at Beverly Hills Mercedes Benz in the late 80s. She was dropping off her Mercedes 560 SEC coupe and she looked gorgeous driving it! 😄
Pat and Otto mixing up the clue and the word...PRICELESS. I have watched Password on and off over the years and that was THE funniest exchange I have ever seen.
Tremendously funny. It was the best of what comedy is about. I always liked pat Carroll and Otto was the perfect straight to pat's perfect timing. I miss her.
And an absolutely brilliant player @Elaine McDonnell. I wish they had more Password episodes with her in them. She would have been phenomenal with Betty White or Arlene Francis. And of course with Peter Lawford. Unfortunately this episode always had her on the receiving end of the lightening round. I would love to have seen her giving the clues in that. And on top of that she was very funny. Though she wasn’t the slender rose of Leslie Anne Warren, any Cinderella who had to compete with her natural wit, charm and intelligence would have found her a far bigger challenge vying for a prince who had the wit and intelligence to appreciate those qualities in her.
Thanks So Much For Posting This Classic Prime Time Episode Of The Classic Game Show "Password"! It Brings Back A Lot Of Great Memories! I Laughed My Head Off When Otto Preminger Gave Pat Carroll The Answer Yes By Accident! I Await Your Answer.
The lightning round scene Where Otto Preminger accidentally says yes to Pat Carroll was so hilarious and funny I couldn't stop laughing for God knows how long!😂 I await your reply.
Angie was excellent, defying stereotypes and prejudices, including my own. Separately, it's no wonder they eliminated opposite clues in later versions. Finally, Ludden's public service announcements now seem almost quaint
It's interesting. At the 20:15 mark, when Angie gives Sinatra as a clue, Allen Ludden tells her to be "careful". Peter Lawford and Sinatra were very good friends but their friendship ended in 1962. Lawford at the time was married to Pat Kennedy, the sister of President John F. Kennedy. Kennedy was visiting California and had initially planned to stay with Sinatra at his estate. However, RFK was uneasy about Sinatra's supposed-ties to organized crime and instead talked Kennedy into staying with Bing Crosby instead. Sinatra, finding out after planning extensively for JFK's arrival, blamed Lawford, expecting that he would have stepped in and talked Kennedy out of the decision, since he was not only Kennedy's brother-in-law at the time but extremely close with Sinatra. Sinatra then banished him from the Rat Pack and the two never spoke again (beyond a brief moment in 1963 when Frank Sinatra Jr was kidnapped and Sinatra reached out to Lawford to get help from RFK, who was very close to Lawford). Sinatra swore off the Kennedys at that point and even cut Lawford out of the movie 'Robin and the 7 Hoods' and replaced him, ironically enough, with Bing Crosby. In this episode, which aired in October, 1964, Lawford hadn't spoken with Sinatra in two years with their friendship officially over. The 'careful' comment very well could have been due to all that . Or maybe not lol I just thought it was interesting.
Lana Turner was discovered in a soda fountain shop wearing a tight sweater in which her bust protruded. For this reason Lana Turner is forever associated with a sweater
It’s a shame didn’t they swap out so that Pat could be the clue giver in one of the lightning rounds, but I suppose they would have had to play one more game to give them all a turn at that.
I guess peoples idea of humour has changed somewhat in the past 50 years, back in '64 it seems as if when someone accidentally says the password out loud , it is the funniest thing since the creation of the world. The panel and the audience are near hysterical to the point where some of tem might have a seizure.

Angie's voice just melts me...she was about 33 here.

Absolutely hilarious episode! Everyone--players and audience-enjoyed this game.
EPIC moment in Password history when Otto gave the answer of “Yes” as a clue. An overall fun and funny show.
~60 years later, and Angie and Pat are still with us!!
Sorry to say now we have lost both of them, it's been 8 months since your comment
@@Tim1963-u6n Angie Dickinson is still with us
Angie and Pat are still alive on 1-12-22!
Angie is beautiful & smart & really knew how to play the game well
Tremendously funny. It was the best of what comedy is about. I always liked pat Carroll and Otto was the perfect straight to pat's perfect timing. I miss her.
Would it make you feel any better if I told you she's still living?
@@jeprice08 great news Keith. Thanks.
@@bonscott602 No problem. I'm glad she's still alive too. Not to mention, Angie Dickinson.
We all love Angie :)
Rest In Peace to Pat Carroll she was an amazing woman with an amazing personality.
Sorry to say now we have lost Angie also
I love watching her in Rogers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella." She steals the show!
@@Tim1963-u6n Angie Dickinson is still alive at 92.
I think this was the funniest episode I've seen yet!

no
@@lynnturman8157 Thank you for your reply.
You can tell Angie Dickinson is so self-conscious about her intelligence. She doubts herself throughout the episode and yet does a fantastic job.
So much fun. And Otto Preminger when he completed "In Harm's Way," a great film!
Ok, I'll admit, this WAS the funniest episode I've ever seen
and for the males, I think Peter Lawford's been on it the most
Amazon
I love these old game shows i was 4 years old angie dickenson was so pretty everything was so simple then probably for the best
I got so dizzy from laughing too hard at the yes and no part of the lightning round...........
33 years old... absolute prime... few in hwood have ever been hotter.
Plus he directed some great movies
@@lynnturman8157I think the commenter meant Angie Dickinson. Otto Preminger was born in 1905.
Pat Carroll was an absolute gas!
That was too funny! I loved it! :)
7:10 - 8:03 = absolute hysterics. Otto gave the word as a clue, Pat continued on, then when she wanted to see if he goofed up she saw the next word.

If you pause at 24.10 you see the Salem cigarette ad. Glad they took these off tv. Too many people hooked on smokes today.
Fantastic and funniest
Sinatra was known early on as "the skinny kid from Hoboken"...
Angie is so smart.

I believe it is much simpler. Sinatra was then being called by a disparaging nickname, “the skinny g****a.”
Lana Turner was discovered in a soda fountain shop wearing a tight sweater in which her bust protruded. For this reason Lana Turner is forever associated with a sweater
Left out two other celebrities in the heading! Wow!
You really should change the description to include Peter and Otto.
Otto was on the Christmas movie "Blizzard" as himself (he taught a little girl to ice skate)
At what point did she turn so cold and jaded? She was all smiles and charm back then.
Oh I don’t know, maybe after her marriage to Burt Bacharach got ugly or when her adult autistic daughter committed suicide?

"Cookie! Cookie! Cookie!"
watch enuf of these shows and u see the same words used over and over, funny
This is the funniest one I’ve ever seen
otto isnt as animated as the rest .until he made the error on the lightning round ,.
Pat Carroll was always a delight; she's a large-boned lady.
If I were to go for a single clue for "Graduation," I might try "Mortarboard" 🙂
Pat carroll is hilarious!
yay pat carroll !!!!
Please add the other two players to the title.
'Mr Freeze' would probably have some interesting thoughts today on climate change.
The youthful pat caroll would later be the sea witch Ursula
Fun!
Anyone know for solid if Pat Carroll was Related to Martha Raye ,?..
There are (Strong) Similarities
😂😊😊☺️😎

Pat carrol is annoying
Yes, that was the answer. LOL
Angie is not very bright. It's as if they knew and provided easy, opposite word clues. Still, a VERY enjoyable episode.
BIG LOL!
I don't think pat knew it was yes
is lawford drunk?
