Thx u :) I have been showing yr videos to my mother in law who is from Merida but due to her age can't travel so yr videos make her happy and she can remember the Mercado etc We all wish we were there. Thx u for bringing Mexico to us. **they maker her happy and sad that she isn't there because she misses Merida and her family so much. I really appreciate all that u do. :)
Awwww that is wonderful! So happy to hear that! Glad I could bring your mother in law so much happiness through my videos! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you guys was AWESOME enjoyed especially in my day off You are now a official celebrity..So if you think at times your videos are either not reaching out more that was your proof..Stay SAFE AWESOME 😊
Awwww, man, Jose thank you for this walk!!! I have been back in the States for three months now and considered this My Market when I lived in Centro. Missing Merida see you soon ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was SO overwhelmed the first time I went to the HUGE market in San Martin Texmelucan, Puebla, MX... It's impossible to see everything in ONE day! I think it's two miles long and two miles wide... CRAZY! I love how organized this Market you are showing us is! It's great! Nearly everything you can think about is available for sale! THANK You for showing us this great trip through the Merida Market.
That is awesome! I totally agree this is still a tiny market compared to others around Mexico. But still big enough for us to get lost in and we didn't even get to explore the whole market. Looking forward to our next visit soon!
@@JoseArteagaTravels Nothing like getting Catch of the day! Food is so much fresher in Mexico! It doesn't have to spend two weeks in the freezer or more! Fresh is best!
Those buildings close to the end of your video are gorgeous. They need to revitalize them with colorful paint and maybe resurface and clean up the streets and sidewalks, plus added some trees too. A lot of potential to beautify the entire Mercado. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Well done, Jose! One of your best videos to date! Would have liked to have seen the fresh meat and poultry market. I will not be paying a visit to the market until the cooler month of Nov, though. Thanks!
I just f'n love you! 😘 Here is a fun fact for you; those old ass Singer long neck sawing machines are in every good cooler, shoemaker and repair store...doesn't matter if it's a 3000 dollar shoe from Oxford Street or a 10 dollar repair it's done on one of those. Couse the new ones with the touch screen and all the bells and whistles are shit! :D A tiny pice of metal that goes in the end of it is like 150-200$...
From my understanding this is a pre-hispanic meso american custom that has been going on for hundreds of years. Not my cup of tea either but super cool either way!
Yes Silver is sold throughout most of the country. Most Mexicans are very proud of their silver and most Mexicans know the true value of money out here
I'm sure you will find a person or two or three that speak English. As you saw in the video the guy selling Silver spoke English but not many others did.
@@JoseArteagaTravels I like Mexico because they use CASH instead of Debit cards. They will not be part of the coming CBDC scam that is coming into OUR countries full of sad sheep sadly. VIVA MEXICO
We were there in June of this year, we love visiting markets everywhere we go. But i have to say that i’m a bit disappointed that you did not show the meat section of the market. I can tell you that people leaving in rich countries like ours (Canada), we would never see the way animal meat presented the way you see it in Merida’s market, it’s really raw. The most impressive thing i remember was seeing dead hens still having their eggs in them, never never never you would see these in Canada. Anyhow great video, keep them coming…

Silver is about $29 an ounce
Awesome! Here in Mexico things tend to be priced in Pesos. Also this was shot days ago and as you know the prices change daily. Thanks for sharing!

Muchas Gracias! I actually use a GoPro 11 at the moment. I should eventually upgrade soon funds permitting 😅
Thanks for this video. I love to buy silver. Nice to know that I can purchase silver in Mexico. Do they sell silver in all the mercados in Mexico? 🤔🤔🤔
Yes Silver is sold throughout most of the country. Most Mexicans are very proud of their silver and most Mexicans know the true value of money out here
There is a French cafe near there. And benches and like a little park. Am I correct? It's been three years since I've been in that Market. Saludos
Not sure perhaps in another part of the Market. We need to come back soon and check out the rest of the Market
Have you been to Veracruz yet?
Not yet! But I hear amazing things! It's on our to go list!
What about big planters and big Mexican pottery. Please videos
Sounds Good! Thanks for the suggestion!
I would have a very hard time not leaving there with bags full of stuff I've only been to a small market in Cholul and Conkal

That is awesome! I have to go visit again and do a food only Market tour! Thanks for the tip!
@@JoseArteagaTravels Yes, please do a market food tour. The section with all the eateries looks super interesting.
Chiles en nogada salsa de nuez
Gracias en Compartir!
Im coming to Merida to eat rocks. Lol
Jaja good thing they got affordable dentists in Mexico 😅
22:58 how much for a banana?
It all Depends. It changes throughout the year and depending on the season but I would say around 4 pesos for a banana
Are dogs allowed (Or cats)? For disabilities?
From my understanding No Large Dogs or any other animals are allowed in the market full of people with so much action going on
IN A CROWDED place like this: DO they speak english????
I'm sure you will find a person or two or three that speak English. As you saw in the video the guy selling Silver spoke English but not many others did.
