Oh wow, I never did the teamed attack with Ignis where he gives him a blade to use! Thus, I never heard the "hot hand" dialogue before. Also, this reminded me that the characters react to Noctis in battle differently. Anyone see how Ignis slid in front Noctis in the first battle? Gladio actively attacks enemies, Ignis sticks the closest to Noctis (if you warp strike and hang on a wall, he adorably runs back and forth, torn between needing to fight and needing to protect Noctis). And Prompto is a distance fighter, so he hangs back but will also run to Noctis if Noctis moves away (but not as quickly as Ignis). I really love that their roles in Noctis' life and their weapons both play a part in how they assist. Also, Ignis (as the "mum/mom"), is the one who will heal Noctis if his health falls too low. Ignis wears so many hats when it comes down to Noctis that I can only describe their friendship as "it's complicated", lol.
Dad (Gladio) is finally starting to rub off on Mum (Ignis) and I for one think it's Amazing. I also love the way Prompto says "Safety first everyone"and Ignis just rushes right in

@@Cyrussy Aegis is more of a mix, yes, meanwhile Magia feels like a different take on Axel/Reno with a little bit of Brain. The only connection I could really make is that Ignis's name meaning fire in Latin and Magia's more than likely potential to use fire magic
The amount of personality in each of these characters is just mind blowing for me.

It starts like bad joke - the lazy King, the huge guard, the nerd photographer best friend and the polite chef. And turns out epic.

The game teaches you about xp and how to level up right at the beginning if you were having problems then that's on you for not listening
"Hold X to defend, hold B to attack, potion/elixir/PD spam", this would get you through pretty much anything even without absorbing a single EXP.
