I did a Top 22 favorite Chevelle songs (it's too hard to just pick 10 favorites), and I didn't put this song on it and now I regret that decision immensely. I'm obsessed with this song now. It's so good! Great reaction! I'm glad you loved it!
The beauty of it is that you’ve barely even scratched the surface. Also, I feel like most have been non-singles. If you haven’t discovered yet, Chevelle has been the most consistent band I’ve ever listened to. A lot of bands end up changing their sound (which some work out) but Chevelle know they are a hard rock band and stick to that formula. My favorite band ever🤘🏽🤘🏽 can’t wait to continue this journey with you!
Where to begin…Sci-Fi Crimes is probably my favorite album. Like the songs, the albums are hard to rank because they usually bring something different to the table. I believe the artwork on the cover of this album was done by Dean. I believe he also did the cover of The North Corridor album. Very artistic creative guy. The song is not about sleep apnea. Pete finds sleeping on a tour bus pretty terrifying, and song is related to that. I have at least a top 40 for them. The thing is, and I’m sure you can relate, the list expands because you realize the songs are so good that they have to be recognized in some way. My number 25 song (no, I don’t have an officially ranked list, just a general idea) is nearly as loved as my number 7. Minuscule levels of love and awe separate them all. ❤️ There is an acoustic version of this on their 12 Bloody Spies album. It is shorter, so I don’t think a full reaction is needed for that if you want to check that out. Nice to see Mocha in her little nook. Thanks as always for reacting to CheVelle!
ACOUSTIC??? I'm definitely going to listen to that. I definitely relate to this, just with Breaking Benjamin :) Dean is not the brother, right? When I watched that video for The Meddler, I was thinking he had really bulked up. lol I just remember him from The Red and Closure videos mostly. But the drummer is the brother?
@@MusicCatsandCoffee Ha ha. Sam is the oldest brother, and he is the drummer. Their younger brother Joe played bass from the Point #1 album to This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In). They had an ugly rift…still exists to this day. Their brother-in-law Dean was the bass player from Vena Sera - The North Corridor. They announced he was leaving in 2019 to spend time with his family and work on his other artistic passions. They have a hired bassist for the tour. His name is Kemble and he is a singer and guitarist for the band Aeges. I think Aeges is his band though, he’s not just a member, so he’s not joining CheVelle. He’s good and has great hair game. LOL
20+ year chevelle fan back to point#1 and watching your reaction to tracks I know and love is so fun it's like hearing them for the 1st time again vicariously through you..best band of all time glad I found your channel have a fantastic day
Next time you do a Chevelle song, I'd love to see you do "Emotional Drought" from This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In). Definitely my favorite Chevelle song ever, mostly due to one little section in the song. You'll know it when you hear it. Angry Pete, anyone?
This song would be perfect for an Anne Rice type vampire flick. I haven't read her books in 15 years but it's just got that passion and pain combo to it.
Love this song! Love that u do the Chevelle vids. Im hoping to see "Get Some" thrown into one of the polls sometime. Heavy sound with awesome lyrics. This Type Of Thinking is probably my fav Chevelle album
Well Enough Alone and Tug-o-War are in my top 5 partially due to them taking me on nostalgia trips from them being on video games I used to play as a little kid but mostly due to them just being great songs.
Emotional Drought.. if you have not done it (I cant find it if you have)... it is Pete's biggest vocal moment of any song. Love your reactions, always have. Cheers.
Awesome song. I think you should now listen to the track that comes right after this one on the album, Mexican Sun! Sci Fi Crimes couldn’t have had better openers than these two tracks!
I was so excited to see this would be todays Chevelle song. Its on one of my favorite albums. Would love to see you do Highlands Apparition off this album. Song is very chill and melodic. Pete crushes this acoustic awesomeness. Btw I love that little wave you do after rejoining us on the video. It comes off very sweet and endearing.☺ As always, love you and the video. Tuesdays and Tooldays are my fav!!!!!🤘
First time I heard Chevelle was Mia on the Project Gothem racing game like 20 years ago, I went out and bought that album and it's still one of my favorite albums. Glad you're digging them, they have a great sound.
This has always been one of my favorites! Always was my favorite song off of Sci Fi crimes. Nice reaction as always. Ok, This was on my list of songs that I've suggested to you in the past. A few I'll suggest again: Get Some, Don't fake this, Still Running, Ghost and Razor and Indifference which is an acoustic song similar to the acoustic endlessly. Just a little observation I made when I just watched your reaction, the instrumental after the lyrics: sleepless stroll, sounds like pure tool..but always with Chevelle's spin on it. Yep awesome song. Glad you got to it finally :)
Hey Lauren. I love how practical your reactions are. But I know you like melodies. And the soft, massaging vocals Pete has. You’re gonna want to put Well Enough Alone on the next poll, or we can just skip the line (lol!). Hopefully it gets up there soon ✊
My first chevelle cd I bought was sci fi crimes, years ago. I'm pretty sure this is the opening track, such a great song to start an album. I think its kinda funny you mentioned how much you like all elements from the song...but left out the drums. I say that because I think that might be my favorite drum track of any of their songs. But that might be just me.
this album was so goddamn good i can scarcely believe. not featuring the best songs ever but somehow their collective power is just of the chart. that being said, i hit sleep apenea whenever i need to get shit done.
When you mentioned that you can't believe that theres songs this good that you haven't heard yet, I got excited for you to discover more of their beautiful songs. This song means so much to me and one that's equal or a little better to me is Roswell's Spell off of this same album. I knew you needed to hear that song once you loved this one and it's one of their greatest. In my opinion of course. Anyways, thanks for your reactions and it's refreshing to see someone appreciating these songs. Their singles are amazing, but you have to dig to find some of their best work. I think that might be why the are so underrated. It makes no sense.
Its funny that you are now doing top 15. I support that decision and i will also support your top 20 list and your top 25 and top 30 and, well you know where im goiing with this. 😉
i think what you're hearing on the EVER part is a reverb i think is what it's called i could be wrong it's something they did digitally because I've heard that sound in other band songs :)

I'm obsessed with this song. It's becoming a problem. :)
I've been in the mosh pit for this one many times! Crowd goes nuts! (But most of their songs are mosh pit worthy)
One of my favs too - this and Piñata
You should be reviewing In Debt to the Earth ... will be worth it ...
Fell in live with "the red"...and theyve been in my top 3 ever since..i was a sophmore in high school..2002...almost 20 years!
I love seein people react to my favorite groups or bands...makes me happy to know they feel what i feel while listenin
Should definitely check out envy, and ruse by them
"Mexican Sun" another song from Sci-Fi Crimes, is in my top 3. Check it out!
I'll put this one on the next poll. :)
Another Chevelle reaction, yay!I knew u were gonna love this😬 It s my second favorite song off SciFi Crimes after the track This Circus.

Pete’s voice does EVERYTHING on that. It blows me away. That and “Roswell’s Spell”. Hello power vocals!
Looking forward to it! It keeps losing polls. :)
You just might have to react to every single Chevelle song, cause all of them are incredible. Even the b-side tracks are amazing!!
That's my unofficial plan. :)
Sleep Walking Elite next
Can't wait for your reaction on Forfeit!
omg, I think you're gonna replay the ending of Revenge over and over again too. Triple Pete lol
This song would be perfect for an Anne Rice type vampire flick. I haven't read her books in 15 years but it's just got that passion and pain combo to it.
Sooo many amazing Chevelle songs to listen too.
Love this song! Love that u do the Chevelle vids. Im hoping to see "Get Some" thrown into one of the polls sometime. Heavy sound with awesome lyrics. This Type Of Thinking is probably my fav Chevelle album
This song is proof that if you are creative and talented, anything can become a jewel, even a sleep disorder
You should do more Sci-Fi crimes. This Circus especially.
The album The North Corridor has Door to Door Cannibals and Joy Ride. Both amazing.
I’m glad I finally found a reaction to this song! One of my many favorite songs from Chevelle.
One of my favorite songs from Chevelle! Also, check out Humanoid.
They have an acoustic version of this song too which is also crazy good

I gasp and hooooold myyyy breath

Someone once said that Chevelle is criminally under rated, couldn't agree more. One of the few true rock bands that never sold out their sound.
I love Chevelle discovered this song years ago forgot it listened again and is in my top 5 Chevelle songs top 3 even.

Also peep the acoustic version! It's ridiculous

I've been waiting for this one. One of my favorites from Chevelle. Probably Top 3 for me.
Has she done A New Momentum yet?

Panic prone is also in my top 5
It’s sooo good!

Could you please react to One lonely visitor? A song with a real feeling
Try out Ouija Board by Chevelle if you need another killer opening.
Yay more Chevelle!!!

Nice and cool. Almost Opeth time again? It's been a while 😳 Certainly no offence 😇🤘
Tomorrow, my friend. :)
