It's written in Geeta and Padma Purana that a person's caste is not defined by his birth but from his actions...then why is this so that we say Jyotiba Phule was a shudra?

Very good, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was really a great Saint, social reformer and a very good educationist who could visualise the future events and make plans accordingly.
