I think the Donkeys were as pleased to see you as the children them. Thanks again for sharing.

Thank you Paul, you know It’s funny, we still have that bottle of vinegar they tried to steal off the tail gate, all this time I’ve been wondering how we lost the lid. Then during the edit there it was getting nibbled. They are adorable and gentle creatures and were great company.

@@VISTATREKKER Pleased you got the disco sorted. Just parted with £1.5k for work on my old friend. There goes the RTT fund again 😭 Do donkey's break down??

They rarely do Paul, the original off-roader. When you think of donkeys as overlanders it’s mixing phrases from different ages in an intriguing way actually. The Silk Road saw more than a few in its day I bet.

My son begs to differ offering this joke., "What do you call a donkey with three legs......A Wonkey Donkey" I'll get my coat and exit field left.

    Hi Robin.
That Tom is some messer 😂. It looked like you guys had a nice time in the woods. I think you enjoyed getting out of that muddy field.
You have been busy editing lately.
    All the best 👍

Yes, “stop that tom” is the most common phrase of the trip, even though I don’t want him to ‘stop that’ at all really. Love watching his sense of humour develop.
Slowly catching up on the years footage… just three left in the can. I’m afraid I did indeed enjoy getting out of that field. I was so proud of the old machine that she pulled through despite all the faults and adversity.

Another lovely account of your trip Robin! It’s easy to forget the effort involved in making these trips..the payoff offsets the memories of effort I suppose! You did well without your stove again - those sausages certainly sounded good 😅 Hope the camera cleaning wasn’t too painful…yikes, I’ve never seen anything like that!! I couldn’t help but notice short sleeves in October - brilliant!! Spring is almost here too…looking forward to seeing where you and the family find yourselves next!! 😎

I think the bigger video of the year for the small but friendly irish UA-cam community will be your return to your place of peace and intrigue on a cliff top somewhere beyond a stone wall where the Brompton lies half hidden. You might do it with no cameras at all but a comment or snap might filter through to us and we would know then that the trip was finally made.
I’m always glad to read your comments in the current time. Genuinely hoping every health and strength your way. Tom and Adelle have their fingers crossed for you too.
The cameras survived, even with the non waterproof media kit on (after a week in the hot press). The trangia stove got fixed after finding the necessary UA-cam guide. The yaw sensor got changed too of course - just before a wheel bearing went. All the little irrelevances that get in the way do of course fall away if you keep pedalling, just so long as the bigger fights are won.
Wishing you every strength and a bottomless resolve so that you will get out pedalling soon.

Very cool! Inspiring! We will get to do this kind of adventure at one point! Hope you will find the time to do one clip on the "checklist" that you go over to go for a memory like this to happen. Keep it up! Wishing you and the family all the best!

Thank you. I actually think this checklist video idea is a cool idea. I do use a checklist each time, certainly when traveling with the kids. Usually a cut and paste of a previous trip adjusted for whatever is specific to a trip but it’s a nice idea for a video.
Thank you for the kind, positive and supportive post. Glad you found this video. I wish you a similar trip some day.
