Great job....super detail painting. Really enjoy your videos and look forward to them when I receive the notification of another one in the offing.....I'm never disappointed! Will be eagerly awaiting what's next. Thanks.
Excellent tutorial 👍 Really like the camo smock and trouser combo, something a little different but it adds to the figure tremendously! Not sure about the picture-in- picture, kinda like watching a 3-ring circus, a bit distracting but lots to see. Well done!
Really good-looking video about your painting of the grenadier. The result of your work speaks for itself. Very good. Very nice camouflage painting. Have a good time, Ian! Greetings, Joachim
Excellent. You've mentioned you don't paint eyes. Somehow they appear though, and appropriately sized and shaded. Very jealous of your ability avoiding re-blocking camo base colors, too.
Thanks for sharing the excellent tips. In this video 31:43, the eyes of the figure seems being painted well. Do you have any video which demonstrates how to paint the eyes?
Im wathing your videos ,and you done nice progress in figure painting , few days ago i painting similar unifoirm patterns and you make it really nice :) Good looking tello mimetico and smog - im glad taht you make it in real colours not like post war that many peoples doo . If you want i have few advices or thoughts that maybe will help in another projects :) Well done my friend cheers :) ps Sorry for my eng ;p

Ok I see what I did on mine. Your base on the coat is about three shades darker. More towards a chestnut than a tan. Otherwise I was pretty close, but hey they're for table top gaming so not like they're being CRITIQUED.
what do you use to put the paint on in the first instance ... looks like a moist towel or something that enables you to keep paint moist then mix as needed?
Brilliant! I'm assuming you use only acrylics when Painting the figures? Also what is in the tray you use as a palate? Thanks in advance. I feel I can learn a lot from you!
the webbing is highlighted in grey and the shadows are on the clothing which is done with a dark black/brown so there's a colour contrast between the two
@@CWModelling I'm using the same Vallejo paint, but neither thinned with water or not thinned at all, it doesn't spread on the model anywhere near as well as it does for you, most of the time it doesn't stick to the figure at all and just runs off, even when it's primed with an airbrush, and it ends up looking like his face is melting because of the detail being covered if it isn't thinned. Not only that, but tiny bubbles form on the figure while painting, and they dry on like that. Any tips or suggestions? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
@@silveroland3433 The only thing I can suggest without seeing it is that the initial base coat I put down over the primer is a thicker coat of paint and only lightly thinned which gives decent coverage over the primer and gives a 'grippy' layer to paint over but it might take 2 or 3 applications to get full coverage...... Whereas the subsequent layers of shadows and highlights are heavily thinned and the shades are built up in several thin applications.........as for the bubbles I just try to burst them before they dry if it happens 👍
for me as a total novice and a partly color blind person your videos are priceless. Thank you

My favorite part was when you attached the mp40 strap. The strap is very dynamic. Great work!
Absolutely cracking. Superb. Am really looking forward to seeing this project come together this year.
brilliant!👍
Well made video and what a great result on the figure! Can't wait for more, Cheers!
A masterpiece! Awaiting with baited breath for the continuation of your project. Kind Regards Johnny

that was just great i enjoyed watching you keep up the good work
I think he looks amazing; great work on the camo and face. Top stuff.

Thanks.......I don't really paint eyes other than to dot them with some black paint👍

Did you use brown or black wash for the shading? Great work!!
it was black/brown 👍
Great work, from start to finish allowing for drying time, how long does it take you to paint a figure ?
it depends on the paint scheme but around 5-6 hrs I guess 👍
@@CWModelling Many thanks for replying

Rewind to the start of this video and it shows what I use👍.........ua-cam.com/video/nBD_gS1jey4/v-deo.html
@@CWModelling perfect, thank you. Stumbled onto your second video by chance so this gives me the complete picture :) Keep up the good work.
results are amazing, what brand and size brush are you using?
Winsor Newton Series 7 size 0 👍
@@CWModelling brilliant, thanks very much!!! all the best.
Beautiful work !
When the diorama ? 😏
Never happened :-(
CW Modelling Lack of motivation ?
Nope, just never happened after painting the figure👍
Brilliant! I'm assuming you use only acrylics when Painting the figures? Also what is in the tray you use as a palate? Thanks in advance. I feel I can learn a lot from you!
Yup, just acrylics......the tray is just a cheap sandwich box lid
@@CWModelling is there water in the lid on a paper towel?
a wet dish washing sponge 👍
the start of this video shows you in more detail 👍 ua-cam.com/video/nBD_gS1jey4/v-deo.html
Great video. Very informative. If you use black to paint the webbing does this mean you can't do shadows? What's darker than black? 😂
the webbing is highlighted in grey and the shadows are on the clothing which is done with a dark black/brown so there's a colour contrast between the two
No thinner at all for the Vallejo paints, correct? Wash is based on the same paint or not ? Which thin brushes do you use ?
Thinned with water......the wash is just more water added.......Winsor Newton Series 7 size 0 or 1 👍

@@CWModelling Thanks, I'll give it a try.
When u paint a 101 airborne
Maybe next year if all goes to plan👍
What about the eyes painting?
I don't paint the eyes as I've never felt the need to for my diorama figures
