Courts have hierarchy. Constitutional court is the highest Court in South Africa. It's decision is final. Zuma was convicted by Constitutional court. This court cannot entertain decision of Constitutional court. That one is given,finish and klaar.
In this so called new SA democratic dispensation, we have had about three dozens of commission of enquiries. With about 12 people refusing to attend to those. Even from Mandela era with the truth and reconciliation commission there are people who refused to attend and none of them was convicted. All those commissions have no jurisdictions/ jurisprudence to make recommendations to the highest court nor to a lower court for that matter. They just lead the commission and help establish the facts and submit their reports and that is it And courts shall deal with the matter in due course . Basically, that's how it should be. In this case it is clear that Zondo had his personal ambitions to fulfil and political masters also played a very rotten role. If you get a prison sentence for 15 months you disqualified. The fact that the President then during your time serving issue a Presidential remission causing you to leave prison earlier of no consequence. He still got a 15 month prison sentence.
