    MK should nt be put in a corner by challenging IEC decision. We have eligible leaders in MK who he can choose from. IEC is probably in another mission to disturb or disqualify MK to take part in polls. Surely ANC is involved in this

      @@ohlangeni by its nature civil contempt has a hybrid procedure. It starts as a civil process seeking compliance with a court order. If the impugned conduct is not cured, it is escalated to attract criminal consequences namely conviction and sanction. Zuma ignorantly walked into this trap, for fear of adducing guffs under oath.

    • @ohlangeni
      @ohlangeni Місяць тому

      @@ndamanekandamanei1965 "It starts as a Civil process seeking compliance with a Court Order" - there was no court order that Zuma needed to comply with. The Zondo Commission was not competent to issue Court Orders, only Findings and Recommendations. Even if we all agree that a witness who abscond while under oath (as Zuma was) is subject to Contempt of Court charge and or ruling; conviction as well as sentencing requires a trial. Zuma was was ruled in Contempt without a trial, and was sentence for Contempt of court without a trial on aggravation or mitigation of sentence.
      The truth is; State Capture Commission, a deep-state Broederbond initiative failed to produce evidence of Zuma's alleged corruption after running a 10 year Media war on Zuma on a corruption theme that proved a Disinformation politicking against a pro-Black leader threatening to dismantle the Apartheid Economy. Since there was no evidence against Zuma, the Commission went on a phishing expedition and when Zuma refused to play along; they pulled the infamous Zuma Law that they since 1997 they used against Winnie Mandela, against Julius Malema when still ANC Youth League President, against Zuma,, against Magashule, against Mkhwebane, against Judge Hlophe and against any future Black person deemed a threat to White South Africa's economy hegemony over Black people

    Ofcourse you can challenge, that what due process is about. You exhaust all avenues & find creative ways to argue against Section 47 of the Constitution provides that:
    (1) Every citizen who is qualified to vote for the National Assembly is eligible to be a member of the Assembly, except anyone who, after this section took effect, is convicted of an offence and sentenced to more than 12 months imprisonment without the option of a fine, either in the Republic, or outside if the conduct constituting the offence would have been an offence in the Republic.
    “Therefore, this provision renders Former President JG Zuma disqualified to be on the list of any party contesting an election or to contest as an independent in the upcoming 2024 elections,” said the IEC.
    The section further states that the disqualification under this paragraph ends five years after the sentence has been completed, which still bars Zuma since he has not finished five years out of jail. This means that Zuma will have to try his luck in the 2029 general elections.” From pro Zuma paper IOL.

      The high court of Bloemfontein ruled that a decision to grant President Zuma parole by Commissioner Arthur Frasier was unlawful, President Zuma should go back to prison. Did he go? . Because they saw what happened. Put the interest of the country first, before the constitution because the constitution is nothing without the people,it remains the piece of paper. Keep your civil war inside of Kwazulu Natal. South Africa needs less of this crap and more emphasis on proper, corruption free governance for the good, honest people of South Africa. This is just an internal power struggle between two equally corrupt factions of what was the ANC, one retaining the ANC brand, the other masquerading under the MKP brand. The Broederbond did to Winnie Mandela post-Apatheid (1998) what they did to Malema when he was ANC Youth League president, what they are doing to Zuma, Magashule, Mkhwebane and any futute progress (pro-Black) leader seeking to dismantle vestiges of Apartheid and continued domination of Black South Africans by White people
