EARLY ICE FISHING on CLEAR ICE - We Ran out of Bait
Out initial goal of panfishing was thwarted by a huge group on a local lake so we took our 2 dozen sucker minnows and "tried" to soak those. While the panfish bite in the area was super slow in the area that day (pretty much all over) the bass and pike basically waited for us to drop our baits down on the early clear ice out fishing.

I'm just hoping Lake Erie freezes over this year, although it was almost 65F here Christmas day. Last year the lake froze over for maybe 4 days but nothing substantial after that. It made the spring really walleye weak & spotty. By the way is that a bait feeder spinning reel?
