@@sentino68 I reached under the seat and found some kind of cable with a yellow tag on it (if I remember correctly) and yes, I just had to jiggle it a little bit - and the light turned off. My sunroof had been open overnight and some water got in, which must have caused the cable to disconnect a bit. It was such an easy fix, and this video made it super easy!
You saved my sister thousands of dollars. Nissan quoted $3500 saying she needed a new seat. I looked at the harness and she had chewed it apart with a vacuum. Thanks a bunch!
Took mine to the Chevy dealer and left with the light on. They wanted to charge $180 to diagnose the issue but I didn’t let them. Came home and watched a few videos until I came upon this one and it really worked after the first try. Thanks Paul. 2010 Avalanche LTZ with no lights on in the dashboard. I’m so happy 😅

Good video! As a 21 year old who is in school to be a mechanic this was informative. The school I go to, I don’t learn to be a part swapper, I’m learning the theories, building, and applications of about everything. In my 2014 Nissan Altima, I had an airbag code, I forget the code, but the description was “passenger airbag circuit below threshold” when using a scanner most airbag diagnostic codes will be very specific and you can use this for easy diagnostic. “Below threshold” was the big clue, so it obviously wasn’t receiving the voltage it should’ve, obviously the connector is the first place I checked, then I removed the battery terminals to isolate the car and to ensure the airbag capacitors were discharged. Then went to work, it’s important to know that you NEVER test the airbag itself or the control module itself with anything! So what I did was I removed the connectors from the control module and the connector to where the airbag was for the passenger side airbag. Used a multimeter, and tested for continuity. Showed very high resistance, next thing I did was I grabbed an airbag simulator took, plugged it in, and this allows me to use my dmm without causing the capacitor to discharge, with the battery plugged back in, I know my reference voltage was 5V and I was only getting 3.4 volts. In pretty much every case where here’s a wiring problem with the SRS system, you’ll most likely get an entire new harness with new wires, rather than fix the one wire, this ensure everything is new and is properly working. Airbags can definitely be intimidating, with my school, the airbags we worked on were already deployed but if we made a mistake and did something we shouldn’t have, then the car alarm went off, which was our indication that we deployed an airbag. Thank you sooo much. Just fixed my car. The dealer told me to check and fix this issue I need to leave my car at the dealership overnight, however after watching this video, when I tried to wiggle and push the cable in, noticed the cable was disconnected. Able to reconnect the cable and resolved the issue just within 2 min. I can't thank you enough, you saved me time and money. God bless you!

You probably did save me a mechanics fee……👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank You. I started to watch two other videos and had to stop. However, on my third attempt this was success. Your video was quick, concise, thorough and right on point. You not only saved me a trip to the dealer or at the very least that questionable mechanic acquaintance that everyone has but also a couple hundred dollars too. TY!
Thank you so much, I talked to a bunch of repair centers and of course they wanted a bunch of money to diagnose and repair the system, I unplugged and replugged in my connections and fixed in a couple of seconds on each side, easy to get to right under the front edge of the front seats. Thanks a ton! Did some deep cleaning the other day and it was exactly that. Disconnected and reconnected the connectors and service light gone! For once, a true “easy fix”!!!
I dropped my lighter then found another lighter and soon as I set off the light was on but turned off by itself, I'll tighten up connection's this weekend.

Thank you!! I went under the driver seat, which never even crossed my mind as a possible area to check, and sure enough the harness had come loose.... 7 years ago.
Sir thank you so much for this video. I had detailing/deep cleaning done on my car and the airbag light came on right afterwards. I knew it had something to do with them poking around underneath the seats and maybe disconnecting a wire! Such a great video.
Fantastic advice. Easy to check, and can save you both money and worries. I recently experienced something I want to add. The wire system for my electric window snappet on passenger front door. Had to open the door panels, disconnect every cable connection and so on. When I had reassembled everything again I ended up with the airbag lamp glowing in the dashboard. Puzzled I connected my low budget code-reader device and it said the airbag on the front passenger side had lost both power and had a crash sensor failure. I reopened the door panels, disconnected the cables to the window motor, which also seems to be a computer devide for the airbags on this section of the car, and reconnected them firmly. After this I did new scan, same error poped up, only this time I could remove the fault code and everything works again. So if you ever work on that window motor/cumputer device, remember to make sure all connections are reconnected firmly before starting your car to avoid this mistake I did
100% my problem. My two girls rode in my truck and the light came on. After watching this video I went out and jiggled the wires under the seat. Fixed!

This a nice and to the point video. All though my problem was not with the connections under the seat. Mine ended up being the harness connection to the front sensor behind the bumper. It literally became unplugged because the plastic was brittle and fell apart causing my light to come on. I took what was left of the sensor and plugged it back in and used electrical tape and wrapped it up. All good and no light. I hope this comment will help someone else out there. 😊
Wow this light was on after a service call and cleaning - after hours of course. This vid was a lifesaver! Fixed it after the third try. Thanks so much!!!
Thank you for getting to the point. Your video was extremely helpful. You would be amazed at many similar videos there were on this topic where they were long winded.
This video was my final attempt at trying to figure out why my light was on. As soon as you said the wiring is under the seat I moved it less than a cm and the light went off. Thank you so much!
God bless you for saving my money. I did it just this morning and it worked. You don’t know how helpful you’ve been trust me. I was mentally and physically drained from conversations with mechanics since last week.
It works! I only tried the driver side but didn't know there was also one under the front passenger seat. I literally only wiggle the yellow connection and it fixes it. Man... Previously, I got charged by the dealer by $200 for this simple fix... They even tried to upsell me for replacing the entire functioning airbag system for $1000+....
Thank you Paul. This video saved me from an expensive dealer fix. 2012 Honda Civic LX with 102K miles. Turns our it was a wedged ice tea bottled. The driver side connector was jarred loose, it was so slight that when I "clicked in the connector" little noise resulted. I was really concerned I would be trapped by the dealer, since my local mechanic would not even look at it (safety liability).
Oh my God! Thank you so much for this video! Found that the Air Bag wiring harness was actually lose... Removed the junk under the seats then reseat the harness connection adapter and sure enough the air bag light went off. Sweet!
it works on my chevrolet optra 2006...thanks sir...it save me a lot of riyals...i am planning to buy clock spring this weekend and it cost 300 riyals.and i watch this video this morning and try to move the connector and it work...thanks a lot sir...
I don’t know how to thanks to you it helps me to save dollars to fix this problem earlier? But when google I saw your video then instantly I tried it to my wife car and then work.. God blessed you and thank you to your excellent video❤
dude you about to save my Buick a shit ton of money damn Enclave seats move every time you touch the damn ignition and wife called freaking out about having to head to the dealership youtube to the rescue again lol. Im about to run out and check that shit out.
Thank you so much! Saved me a trip to the dealership 🎉🎉 airbag light came on on the way home of a 4 hr road trip. We moved the front seat forward and back quite a bit during the travel. New subscriber!
Looks like this helped many people! Remember there are also several other airbags and connectors in most cars. They are harder to get to though and covered up by plastic garnishes. If you have a diagnostic tool for srs it should pinpoint you to the problematic airbag with the fault codes. Mine was the connector to the drivers side curtain airbag inflator, covered up by the rear c-pillar garnish.
Man, I just replaced the amplifier which the passenger seat had to be moved to allow access to the floor bolts to remove the seat and replace the amplifier which was rusted due to somebody not cleaning the moon roof water drains which got clogged, water came down and the floor got wet, amplifier rusted. I really appreciate your video as you won't find these kind of issues showing up in the owners manual and everyone knows what it costs to get your car checked out over something so minor as air bag warnings. Thanks for taking the time.
I had to get my son's car inspected but his airbag light was on. Saw your video and told him to go wiggle his wires and boom! Light came off... you definitely know a thing a-two about a thing a-two. Thanks!
Give credit where credit is due - this worked ! I have had a flashing airbag light on my 2009 Infinitii G37 sedan (error code 15 - one long flash, five quick flashes) found the yellow connectors under each seat, pushed them together to ensure the connection (they were already connected), wiggled the other wires below each seat, and then reset the airbag light with the three-quick power on-off combo using the ignition switch I learned from another video. Interestingly, the first reset put my airbag light into a long flash mode blink state, very different than before. So I went through the reset process again using the ignition button and then BINGO, the blinking airbag light was gone. So it took two reset attempts to get it to finally work. Good luck out there, as I am disappointed in the quality of these airbag systems.
Would it do harm to disconnect the yellow connectors and reconnect several times to cause a cleaning action on the plug terminals, or would this be taboo? Happy Easter, my friend!
Worked for me. Just wiggled the connectors tighter turned on the vehicle and the airbag light warning went off after a few seconds like it used to. Thank you for this video. 🎉
My airbag light came on a couple of days ago. I watched your video. When I got home I looked under driver and passenger seats. Found no "yellow" module. Checked under dash on driver side, boy you have to be a contortionist, and located it. I gently wiggled then pushed in. Voila! It went off. The next day it was still off. Had to adjust my driver side seat and yes, the light came on again. Help.
Hey man, thank you for your video. I had this light on on my car dashboard. I did what you recommended and the light went off. You saved me a good amount of money.
2011 Nissan Pathfinder here, the yellow airbag connector under the driver seat came loose and caused the airbag light to flash. Your video along with another video how to reset airbag light fixed my problem. Thank you very much!

I've had black tape covering my air bag light for 12 years.
LOL!
Larry Woodruff, newer vehicles have light and message system that indicate not working. Tape message centre also hides all other info it displays.
How you get it inspected?
@@jimmyphillips4333 It is a government inspection before you can insure/plate it here in Manitoba.
My IS250 has the same problem. I been putting a card in front of it lol
This Video saved me $100's. Always look under your passenger seat for any airbag light issues!
Helpful and hilarious in equal measure! Thank you!
👍😊
Thank you Paul. This video saved me from an expensive dealer fix. 2012 Honda Civic LX with 102K miles. Turns our it was a wedged ice tea bottled. The driver side connector was jarred loose, it was so slight that when I "clicked in the connector" little noise resulted. I was really concerned I would be trapped by the dealer, since my local mechanic would not even look at it (safety liability).
Awesome James! 👍😊
I have the same car same model and everything and mine is still on😢
looks like 100's-1000's unless Paul has other suggestions.
Thanks Paul for your video.
👍😊
I like how your straight to the point and dont waste the viewers time with lame jokes. Thankyou for that, I am now a subscriber!
Thank you sir 🙏🏾, simple and to the point👍🏽
Oh my God! Thank you so much for this video! Found that the Air Bag wiring harness was actually lose... Removed the junk under the seats then reseat the harness connection adapter and sure enough the air bag light went off. Sweet!

OMG, looked under the seat to find a disconnected harness. Connected the harness and it worked! Thank you..
Can you please just say "jackass" like red from that 70s show
You funny as hell fam 🤣🤣🤣
No he says "dumbass"
He looks like he's about to
Red would say dumbass not jackass
Or foot up to azz😅
I don’t know how to thanks to you it helps me to save dollars to fix this problem earlier? But when google I saw your video then instantly I tried it to my wife car and then work.. God blessed you and thank you to your excellent video❤
dude you about to save my Buick a shit ton of money damn Enclave seats move every time you touch the damn ignition and wife called freaking out about having to head to the dealership youtube to the rescue again lol. Im about to run out and check that shit out.
Thanks!!! Just jiggled and pushed the yellow connector under the passenger seat and it fixed the problem!
THANK YOU! Saved me from a ton of trouble
Do you always see the cup half full?
@@101pinheirodid u read the last sent.?
It worked!!! I was calculating the money this problem might cost me and thanks to you and 5 minutes of my time, it will cost nothing.
@@susansotack3809 People have been charged thousands!
Thank you! I seen plenty of videos but this one did the trick!!
Thanks, it worked for my GMC Sierra truck!
Did you disconnect the battery or not?
I had to get my son's car inspected but his airbag light was on. Saw your video and told him to go wiggle his wires and boom! Light came off... you definitely know a thing a-two about a thing a-two. Thanks!
👍😃
This is so simple, I can't believe I didn't think of that! Thanks for the tip!
Jim Finigan 👍😊
Did you happen to disconnect the battery first? I have a 2012 g37 and wanted to check to make sure I don’t accidentally set it off
Great video! You have a really good delivery!
I was driving with my long legged boy on the passenger seat. As he was adjusting the seat that airbag light showed up. Your video helped me.
Would it do harm to disconnect the yellow connectors and reconnect several times to cause a cleaning action on the plug terminals, or would this be taboo? Happy Easter, my friend!
Don’t do it bro Your airbag can will go off in your face while your driving
Hi Paul, Phil in the Uk here. Just been outside and did what you showed me...
it worked!!!
Thank you so very much
👍😊 hi Phil Paul here in the United States. You’re very welcome!
I know he's not , but does he looks angry?
I think one time he was angry and the wind changed.
Worked for me. Just wiggled the connectors tighter turned on the vehicle and the airbag light warning went off after a few seconds like it used to. Thank you for this video. 🎉
👍😊
My airbag light came on a couple of days ago. I watched your video. When I got home I looked under driver and passenger seats. Found no "yellow" module. Checked under dash on driver side, boy you have to be a contortionist, and located it. I gently wiggled then pushed in. Voila! It went off. The next day it was still off. Had to adjust my driver side seat and yes, the light came on again. Help.
black electrical tape is cheaper than parts and labour.
Is that Red from That 70s Show?
Looks like him but not sounding like him
Careful. You'll get a foot up your ass.
Hey man,
thank you for your video. I had this light on on my car dashboard. I did what you recommended and the light went off.
You saved me a good amount of money.
Some Shop with a name Bubba finessed me for 1000 for an easy fix...
2011 Nissan Pathfinder here, the yellow airbag connector under the driver seat came loose and caused the airbag light to flash. Your video along with another video how to reset airbag light fixed my problem. Thank you very much!
scotty kilmer wanna be.
did a good job
He keeps his arms far too still while talking to be like Scotty 😂
