My sailor pro gear F and 3776 F are my favorite pens to write with. I really think it’s worth saving up for them. I got my pro gear used and my 3776 gray market from japan and saved a bunch. It’s risky but a tune job from a nibsmeister is I ly 20-40 so worst case scenario you just gotta cough up a little extra.
Great review Sal. Many within the community suggest that sailor is the best, but fail to communicate that it's a preference. Popular preference is a strange grey area. I would be careful of commenting on the realo's larger 21k nib without trying it. Touching back on my original comment, it's difficult enough to make a definitive judgment as a reviewer with the pens in front of you. I think all Japanese fountain pens from the 'big 3' are well worth it. When compared to European brands, the value of Japanese brands is almost absurd.
I own a number of Sailor pens and could say very positive things about each type of nib but I would disagree with you about the 21k. Of all my Sailors, for the writing experience, the 21k nibs are my favorite. Nice to see a fellow lefty fountain pen user!
In a past life a was a big pen collector and in my occupation in the insurance business and allied industries the pen was as important as the smart phone is today. Great videos Sal. BTW my Monte Blanc is the most valuable pen that I own. Fountain pens? not so much. I'm a ball point kind of guy. 👍

I'd take a Sailor over a MB any day. I prefer the pencil-like feedback.

Sailors are so gorgeous.... I want a 1911 in something called "tequila sunrise", it's a wonderful color

good review but why does every fountain pen owner write in chicken scratch
Because days ago fountain pens were manufactured for writing with them. Nowadays they are ment to be stored in box 😁
@@unsharpen What kind of ink is in the broad promenade?
The promenade has a more platinum-3776-ish-cigar shape while 1911s is a bit more tropedo-ish
i dont really like pens that are made out of resin but this evry cool
