A VERY Different Day in La Plata - A Slow Order Had Speeds Down, But the Action Was Still Great!

- So, we all know La Plata is known for high speeds on the BNSF racetrack. Most videos that come out of there can attest to that. However, today was quite different. There was a flag and protect order at the N. Owensby St. crossing, which meant that all the trains had to come to a crawl before passing the gates.
It was really neat to see some SLOW action for a change. It was like everything that normally happens here, only in slow motion. The trains basically just tagged up and moved along, with a few nearly reaching track speed by the time they fully passed. At the end of our stay, the order was lifted, so the last few catches were more 'typical' for LAP. Also, the drone was limited to one catch; the little thing suffered a catastrophic failure and was rendered inoperable. A new one is one the way. I'm a BIG fan of speed, and didn't think I would like this video, but it turned out pretty good as a change of the typical pace here. Hope you enjoy.
