  • It's reduced landing speed and very sleek look for a small jet made it both eye-catching and beautiful. I chatted with the pilot and would have guessed its landing speed to be about 100 - 110 knots. Nope! He said he can touch at 87 and cruises at 310 TAS, and the winds were 320 at 10 G 22 for his landing, and a nice one.

Imagine having the money for that baby, but then still having to wait a few years to get it because of the lineup…

I really want to like the vision jet but the range and fuel burn turns me off, I think I'd rather just go with the tmb. I can get around 900 lbs useful load with full fuel, real life 1300 nm range @ FL310 @ 310 kts tas from a used tmb 850. An m600 can also do 1300 nm with 1 hour reserves at normal cruise speed of 275 Kts.

There are pros and cons to both planes. For passengers, the Vision Jet is far more comfortable. The Vision Jet has a ballistic parachute for safety, and with the new model, an auto-pilot safe return feature (TBM has this). My understanding is that Vision Jet's annual operating cost is less than a comparable TBM 900 series plane. But, to each their own.

@@pmtips4482 I don't care about a chute in either aircraft, in an sr22 they are good for low hour non instrument rated pilots who go vfr into imc.The fatality accident average on sr22 with a cute is 0.78 per 100,000 hours, all other ga aircraft combined is 0.80 per 100,000 hours. I don't fly at night in singles, so I see very few situations a chute would save me.

    Greetings "Bic",
Enjoyed the commentary. This might be the bird that helps me move on from my 26 year love of my A-36 Bonanza. I would like to repeat our Instructor's first ever 1934 exploration of the Caribbean in a land plane in it. "Chief" Anderson did it again for his 86th B'Day...59 years later in his 182RG. We rolled in Formation off RW 13 at 06A and completed a 10 day trip. You were part of our conversation. Let's catch up.
    Check Six,

You should figure out your audio. I could not hear any of the commentary, whatever you were saying while showing a clip of a single engine private jet drop in and taxi around to a park. Al Waterloo does a marvelous job with his audio and commentary on the Cirrus Vision jet aircraft, all the features inside and out. Well worth the listen.

In Nov. 2019, my wife had a medical problem on a cruise ship & we were transported by
Lear Jet to Florida from Jamaica by a four passenger plus two pilot MedJet which was
no bigger than this one! What makes this plane so unusual, other than its shape?
