Though I own dozens of fragrances, including several from among Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, Mugler, and YSL, the only fragrance my wife consistently compliments me on is Invictus. With Invictus, much like 1 Million, Paco Rabanne created a mass-appealing fragrance. If you want to impress guys with hundreds of fragrances, don't buy Invictus. You want women to smile at you and tell you that you smell nice, buy Invictus.
Same with my girlfriend.

These fragrance snobs make me laugh. I'd rather wear this than some tobacco-musk fragrance which repels everyone. If you don't like it, that's fine. But don't disrespect it because it really is a masterpiece in terms of compliments and reactions.

Only similarity from these two is the sweetness. One million is strong in cinnamon, leather and rose, while invictus is an aquatic smelling with ambroxan dominant and some saltiness. Really love and prefer this trophy bottle over one million, one of the sexiest clubbling scent for sure ^^
I love that fragrance, I have an Invictus radar so each time someone passes with it I recognise it immediately!
This is the best Cologne ever produced. Nothing compares to this not even the bad smelling niche brands. I get so many compliments it's unreal.
Are you joking? I hope so because this perfume could be the most synthetic, cheap fragrance I've ever smelled. You can do better.
My girlfriend calls this Cologne her panty dropper. Out of the hundred colognes I have this one knocks her socks off. So what if it's synthetic. All I care about is what she thinks of it.
I think this one is very underrated. It deserved 8/10 at least.

@@Redolessence I think we, as guys, trust our nose too much. We need to trust the ladies a little bit more, after all, we wear fragrance to get attention from the ladies and attract them. Four of the top perfumers in the world collaborated on this project. Think about it!!

Invictus nails it! its def a club scent also and gets many compliments all day. I think he wasn't kidding with the bottle, the cologne is a Champion! Agree the it looks kiddie but then again its a trophy and stands out. The scent is very manly and smells mid to high end so i really like it.
I have both 1 million and Invictus and I have gotten more compliments when wearing invictus. And I agree when people tell me Invictus is better smelling.
I think 1 Million is better. It's subjective. If you dig these, try Spicebomb.
I don't see why reviewers reduce this fragrance..... This fragrance is great here in Africa....... I've never seen one single person who doesn't like it. Longevity great....projection good, people smell it. Great work scent....cuz is not so strong or offensive like one million. It's a great fragrance, and the bottle looks very well on any shelf.
I gave my teenage son my 1 million bottle and just got this on Monday. I picked it up for $54 shipped for a 3.4oz. Looked up the cosmetic calendar and it was made August 2014. My SOTD also! More versatile than 1 million. Reminds me of the women's Dolce scent and Lacoste White. Fresh and lightly sweetened
Great fresh/sweet smell for the colder weather ! But wow, go easy on the trigger with this frag. 1-2 sprays for me will last 8-10 hrs and it projects VERY well for 3 hours. Any more sprays than that and it gets cloying(On my skin anyways)

Moisture your skin it last longer
I got this a while back-and have been using it, and guys let me tell you this one is a definite go in my book, love the smell, the performance is amazing & also it works well if you are living in a tropical country or if its very hot in your area (& it works well if you sweat, unlike other fragrance which if you sweat sometimes gets mixed & then you get this disgusting smell), this one is a bit lighter to the armani code profumo in terms of sweetness, so if you guys like sweet fragrances then one can go for the armani code profumo as well, which has amazing performance and projection, howwever, I chose this because i live in a high heat- high humidity zone and the invictus works best if you sweat unlike the profumo which turns repulsive in heat and humidity- OVERALL- its a 8.5 for the invictus for me, best for everything except for maybe funerals, take it from me guys you will love it, I have used this for weeks and only after that I am writing this...

I was offered Invictus last week and I'm not particularly bewitched by this fragrance. I agree this is a night out fragrance, but we all have better options for that matter. Nevertheless, a neat review. Thank you very much, Steve.

This scent is really good, and yes i do perceive this bubble gum scent in the mix.
Better than 1million imo! Longetivity second to none! Tom Fords Tuscan leather probably only one that edges it in that regard....
Last week i went to my local fragrance store i was choosing between invictus and Sauvage....i asked the lady she said invictus and i agreed i bought it got home checked the batch code and it was a 2013 bottle an original and boy does it smell good 4 years maturing in the bottle 😎🙏🏻

I wish I had seen this review when I started my fragrance journey few years ago. I can attest that Invictus and One Million smell almost identical on the dry down! I have been testing both fragrances side by side the entire day today. omg this was very unexpected!
I have it and I wasn't too impressed. it's okay but for me it just doesn't jump out. i'll still wear it since I own it but not a whole lot. Love your videos and your vocab. Be blessed!

My same thoughts, it reminds me greatly of 1 Million and I wouldn't recommend someone buying both unless they love these type of fragrances so much they want to wear different types within the same group, all year around. I only tried both once, but at first impression I lean towards 1 Million.

Yeah, to be honest, when i tried it for the first time, i got complimented by a gorgeous woman.. (way out of my league! lol). So.. Even though it's not my favorite, it still draws people in. Also, i was at Macy's the other day, smelling different colognes, and most of those smelling sticks laying around were of Invictus lol! Hope you do a video on the newer cologne, Givenchy: Gentlemen only, Casual chic :) I smelled that new one, and it's very clean! Got a few compliments already.

Invictus is great! I had the set with the lotion, after shave, and the bottle of cologne itself; all three have a long lasting smell that just about everyone loves. Sadly my bottle was stolen, so now I have to buy a new bottle

I read that invictus was refolmulated in 2015( oak moss was removed) and I was wondering if the scent-longevity-projection of 2015 bottles is the same after the refolmulation!

The oakmoss helped round out the sweet marine accord and that heavy guaiacwood and musky ambroxide base. Ever since it has been removed, the fragrance has become overbearingly artificial smelling. It still lasts and projects forever but it smells extremely salty and nauseating now because the oakmoss extract gave it a fresh green tone and also helped it smell more natural.

I think One Million is more easily likable on the first try, it has a very strong opening which hooks many people.
Nice take, partner. I actually enjoyed this one and its a sportier version of the One Million. Not a fan of that fragrance but this one is actually not too bad.

Your right, this smells a LOT like 1 Million, which I have only bought samples of. I like this one much better. I think this is more forward spicy and lasts longer on me. It's in my top 5 men's EDT.. As always, make sure to get a sample before investing your money.
I smelled this in Ulta and it reminds me of silver scent in the opening. With that grape soda smell.

I have heard Midnight in Paris is not discontinued, even the EDP version. Right now I see the EDP 2.5 oz on Fragrancenet still, I know they don't seem to have the big bottle anymore, which I own.

Hi Steve how r ya mate? great video as always... I have Invictus & I must say I like it ... I get the jasmine note you can tell its floral but not too floral where it ends up being a womens fragrance I think they balanced that very well.... It still smells masculine even though there are sweet & floral accords to it.... On me it projects well & I get an easy 6-7 hours with this. as it drys down it becomes a bit synthetic as well... over all its good ...its not great but good..... I fell that its definitely not a day scent more like a night out scent. every time i wear it i get compliments .... TC buddy :)
when u review a fragrance its lyk im in class learning everything bout that particular fragrance,..unlike other channels..thts why i love TEAM RED..I think this one is quite similar to the original XS which was released in the 90"s...its getting alot of love here in Botswana, and its selling lyk the gold bullion....
Great scent, I thought it was to fresh the first time i smelled, but it grew on me, and now I used often.
I'm wearing it right now. I liked it on a Sephora test strip but the sample isn't winning me over.. The citrus and sweetness are pretty gross together after a while

No vanilla in this whatsoever. It's important not to over analyze a fragrance and perceive notes that are not actually there. Also, it could actually contain Ambergris as dealing in that compound commercially is legal in France. Invictus is from a French fashion house. We have to also remember that Ambergris is said to fetch thousands of dollars if it is discovered by a passerby. If a perfume can't contain Ambergris, then who is paying thousands of dollars for these quantities of Ambergris being found? It is in all likelihood the fashion industry.
Hey, Steven, I'm just curious, do you get like a wintergreen mint accord in the opening because when I spray it, I get like this clean yet sweet salty wintergreen cooling smell. I have to say though, the drydown to me has a very heavy patchouli scent which I'm not really a fan of :(
great review, Steve! looking very sharp! you know, i'm not surprised this is the creation of 4 perfumers. in ukrainian we have this saying, a baby with many nannies gouges his eye out. this is a real-life case of that. and it turns sour on my skin, a scrubber for me.

One Million is a party scent. Invictus is an everyday scent. I don't find Invictus to be that sweet.
