The side and rear windows weren't thinner glass, the glass was replaced with plexiglass which saved about 26 lbs.of weight.

My Dad had this exact car in Madrid Spain in the late 60s.. he won it playing poker.. he ended driving it through a Donkey cart with a Gypsie driving it. Luckly the Gyspie and My Dad survived..
