  • This is not a bowling video, but it’s words of wisdom from the last real president of the United States that we possibly have had.
With possibly the exception of President Ronald Reagan, but President Kennedy
he lost his life because of his ideas and the way he was unfortunate for us

We were never starved but never really full. We looked like the kids in this video. So one day I go to my fat friends home whose parents earned just as much as mine did and they had huge gallon sized tins full of free government food, we demolished a huge tin of pudding. In Phoenix we did different sports in 3 week blocks , a term was 6 weeks for reports cards . We did the usual , basketball, softball and flag football. Then we did the less common : weight lifting , gymnastics ,ie, parallel bars , tings , but you weren't forced beyond limitations . Then we did all phases of track and field , including hurdles , broad jump , high jump , shot put . We did tennis , hand ball , badminton ,( much more strenuous than it looks when your opponents are competitive) wrestling. That was in 1963 - 66 . Then I moved east to Mass. and instead of it being an elective whereby I had gym 5 days a week it was now mandatory and only 2 days a week . And the number of sports dropped to 3 or 4 . It was a big disappointment . So I was second in my class with 10 chin ups where in Phoenix I was the middle of the pack . Terrible come down for me for I loved gym .

To be fair, I'm someone who has worked out alot in my life. I've been thin I've been obese and very fit....but......but of all the excesizes I've done and no matter what age, I've never been able to do push-ups or pull ups....it is literally because of how my body is designed. I'd have to do some serious drugs and working out to be able to do that. So in my opinion it's completely unreasonable to expect everyone to be and do the same thing. By the way, unhealthy weight for me is 220. I'm 6,4 and large framed with long torso. I can't be what 5,10 men are capable of without demanding an insane amount of work and drugs.
I'm sure someone will comment certain tall athletes and such being able to, but they take drugs and are professional builders, I am a working normal human being. Fitness is good, but stop painting such ridiculous standards on every individual. People are all made different

Not totally accurate. It’s in the food. A library of books have been written about this in the past quarter century. Read them.
We tried personal responsibility. There’s a gym on every corner and we’re fatter than ever. But our food system has changed more in the past 50 years than it has in the past 50,000.
Bad science, bad public policy, and big business got us here. It’s in the food. Eat plants and animals. Get a coop and harvest your own eggs. Take personal responsibility for your own locally grown food. Build a garden and a community. It’s in the food.
