Nirvana hadn't even peaked. I wish Kurt didn't go the way he did. American music would be very different today. When Nirvana ended, it opened the door for some terrible genres and bands.
Yeah, I've been a Nirvana fan since I was an 8th grader in 2002 and I saw a lot of their live stuff before but now on youtube I'm seeing a bunch of shows from 1994 and it's amazing how much they improved. Their Nevermind tour shows were all out of tune, sloppily played, drunk/high, crazy audiences, messy shows. This 1994 tour they are absolute professionals, they sound perfect almost the same as the record. I never knew they could play this clean live and I'm addicted to it.
Most of in utero and nevermind was written in 1989 1990. They really were not at all prolific with new material after nevermind was released. Maybe Dave would have started writing too but even if he had not died I doubt nirvana would have lasted. He had really had enough at that point. He would probably have been like jd Salinger, living on a farm and telling everyone to fuck off who tried to meet him. I guess we will never know but the revisionist history regarding nirvana is extreme
Actually Three songs off In Utero were less then a year old, Scentless Apprentice, Heart Shaped box, and Serve The servants. Two of which had Dave Grohl listed as a songwriter. I think Nirvana would of be just fine, with new songs. Listen to You know you’re right, Talk To Me, and Do Ri Me, Kurt was starting to write new music that was still amazing
Dude, nirvana were DONE. Kurt had fuckin had enough. I know anton brooks who was their press guy in the uk from bleach til the end. He said they were done. All three of them had lost the passion for nirvana. It’s just not fun being grown men being manipulated and lied to by your management and the record company. Nirvana were a cash cow and kurt had OD’d half a dozen times, they could see he was probably going to end up dead so they started controlling who was around him, putting handler’s with him all the time which made him even more miserable. It was a ridiculous shit show and there is almost zero chance they would have made a new album. Also, know your right is a fucking b side at best. It is not a great track, it’s just ok just like the other songs you mentioned.
I saw them a few months before this show. it was November 7th 1993, in Virginia. I was only 15 but I'm so glad I was able to see them live. They are on same level as Beatles, in my opinion.
You saw them at the William and Mary Hall? That's a fucking cool show! They even played an unknown song that night AND Kurt went berserk during the first verse of Lithium
Kurt honestly hated the jag-stang he played onstage from what I know, I could be wrong though. I think he wanted more adjustments done to it. I'm glad he was endorsed by Fender, they did an amazing job making the Sonic Blue Mustang for him. I think the red one was the same one he had used from the Roseland Ballroom show in New York City, NY July 1993, but was modded to have the identical look and sound of what he wanted the Sonic Blue mustang that fender made to look and sound like. So sad they quit making them and selling them, and it was just a limited time thing. I really wanted one brand new, in both the fiesta red and sonic blue color, as well as the roadworn fender jaguar they had sold for a limited time before just selling the NOS version only. Though I love that one as well, though the specks on the sonic blue mustang, specifically the black humbuckers is not what he used, he had the off-white humbuckers for it, and on the jaguar, the humbuckers are too close together compared to what he had used, where the neck pick-up was closer to the neck, and the bridge pick-up was closer to the bridge. Though overall, Fender did a really amazing job, after all, Fender is known for making artist series signature guitars look almost identical to the real deal. Now if they started selling both the Mustang and Jag-Stang again, I'd be really happy to have the opportunity to have all 3 someday. Or even just one, specifically the Fender Jaguar. I wanted that guitar since I first discovered Nirvana when I was 8 years old, back in 2006. Crazy how I'm now going on 22, still a huge Nirvana fan, and musician inspired by Kurt and Layne Staley, as well as Jerry Cantrell very heavily.

thanks for sharing and the work on the video, excellent. This is the beginning of the end for Kurt, the band, and this final tour. 2 days before Valentines and more than a week until his birthday. Never should have went onto euro leg...no one seemed to be putting 2 and 2 together.
He should have kept a bodyguard(s) with him at all times for his safety, just in case. He couldn't afford to merely walk around freely unprotected anymore. Being wealthy and famous makes you a target, whether you do drugs or not. He might still be alive if someone was there looking after him. Unfortunately his wife had other plans for him (cremation, home demolition & selling all property and journals).
I think by this point kurt was fed up with the tour and didn’t really care. I believe also when melora creager came on for the euro shows she wasn’t playing cello how it was recorded on the record and krist novoselic was pissed about this and said something to her. Kurt had told her “play whatever you want” She also stated kurt was waiting for a couple backstage in designer clothing with their kid to bring him dope.

Nirvana means freedom from pain and suffering from the external world, according to Websters Dictionary. Nirvana did a great job with always helping me through rough emotional times when I had no one or nothing to turn to, drugs did it temporarily for me. But as a musician, it's music and relations with friends, family, and a significant other when I have one that help me with relieving emotional pain. Nirvana has always been a great example. Nirvana promoted feminism in the musical content a lot, but you could hear the struggles Kurt went through in his guitar and vocals. And it always helps me to realize I never am alone with suffering mental illness. Nirvana was a religion in their own right and to me always will be, especially for hardcore fans such as people like me and maybe you. Peace love and empathy.
Nirvana's skill in 94 is so improved compared to 93,92,90's. They would have made so many good song, sadly well never get to hear them

To his management. With the internet at your fingertips you could easily find the facts pertinent to the issue. Who the hell wants to type at someone when you could just pick up a phone and talk? A voice call is so much quicker, less complicated.. We going forward or backward here?
THANK. YOU❤❤.
thanks for sharing and the work on the video, excellent.
Kurt had told her “play whatever you want”
She also stated kurt was waiting for a couple backstage in designer clothing with their kid to bring him dope.

For me NIRVANA is a Religion!!
I was in the zenith Paris 94 ✌💀🤘 hell yeah
