This is perfect Phil, was going to do a video on the setup of the R5 for the Edge housing, but this touches on nearly all of the points I had planned. Great work mate.... how fun is the R5 in the water hey??
can all these customized buttons be part of a pre-set? i don't want to have to constantly be changing my button presets back and forth when using in and out of the water for other shooting areas
Brilliant phil, I had to do the same thing on my Sony, actually works out better because although it used to work on my previous housing which had more space it sometimes would play up so now your guaranteed each one 👌🏼
@@slabcharger7162 a lot of people take off the palm stopper handle, you might find it’s easier to reach that way! Also maybe change back button focus to the button furthest to the right.
Great video! I found a lot of this information and setup very helpful. I did have a question regarding the "MODE" custom button for the Canon R6. I can't seem to find the option to place "MODE" on the star button. Did you guys happen to have any workaround for this?
This is perfect, thank you Phil @ Aquatech!
Pure Genius! Legendary tips from a true pro. Thanks!
Thanks for the tips. Bummer that Canon didnt bring to the R5 the customized quick menu option from the 5D.

Explore the custom profiles and you can make a profile for the water and a profile for the land.

The customize dial button is only available in manual mode. Is there any other way to control the aperture while the camera is in the housing?
Yes you can control via the Q menu.
Great vid but is there a trick to getting the select dial to move the single point AF to go up amd down on an R6?
Yes you can actually set the rear dial to go up and down
How did you set up your back button focus ?
You just need to customize one of your back buttons to focus, usually people use the AF On button or the Star button
@@AquaTech_imagingsolutions yeh I have changed it to the af mode selection button next to the star. Nearly impossible to reach the af on back button

@@AquaTech_imagingsolutions yes I did both , sorted the problem, timeframe on the ef to rf zoom gears?
@@slabcharger7162 if you email contact@aquatech.net we can sell you one they should release tomorrow or the next day 🤙🏽

I have an r6 and just made my AF-ON button my movie start and stop button. no real need to change modes is there?
@@dazsmith890 awesome I’ll have to try that out!
edit: video mode enables af face tracking so yeah there's a difference.
Did you ever get a solution to this with the R6?
Is there a port compatible with the RF 70-200mm f4?
Hello! We are working on a port and zoom gear option for this lens. Please email contact@aquatech.net so we have your info
@@AquaTech_imagingsolutions I'd like to get on that list as well. the 70-200mm f/4 is so helpful in crowded situations.
