the second version is definitely more functional, but the aesthetics of the first version are closer to me. I like this futuristic design. Thanks for the review
I think futuristic don't limit to one aesthetic, the mark 1 is more like cyberpunk kind of futuristic, not retro futuristic enough maybe, mark 2 is more like minimalist futuristic which I like, somewhere but not exactly like oblivion movie kind too
I have both and can confirm that the speakers are very different. I like the MKI:s speakers more. Otherwise than that the MKII is a imo a more mature machine.
@@dionysis_ I made the theme myself and I can share it, if you want it. I wanted to make a song with just the mic and share the process. That would work as kind of a mic test, I guess.
@@1wildrogue Reminds me of the gruvbox theme for text. If you can share it that would be great 🙂 yes, a piece made with the mic would be perfect. I’m just curious to see if the quality is usable.
Sure, there's plenty of drum and bass made on the m8. I've done two on my first EP (greed & in the pit) which are on my channel. Or for more jungle old school stuff checkout @NickySpacebug on youtube. Keep in mind though that Ableton and the m8 have completely different workflows. The m8 is a tracker, so be sure you'll know what that entails.
Can you use any of them as Gameboy? Do you think if music is just a hobby for now, it's better to just use your iPhone with garageband or other music making app? Do you think create music yourself will make listening to music like magical because you know more about things in music making?
Are your favourite color yellow too because of your profile picture and channel cover? Favourite colour is yellow! By the way, hey man, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, do you love to have a logo for your channel's branding to have a memorable graphic based monogram logo to help your audience recognise and follow your channel easier? I would love to design a musical themed logo inspired by your direction for you! Let me know if you interested to make it happen! :-)

I totally agree. I really think it has an iconic design, something from a sci fi film almost.
Someone said that the first version looks like it was just ripped out of the starfighter cockpit :]

Same, i prefer the aesthetic and ergonomic of the model 01
And i don’t like the fact there’s less gap beetween the keys on the news version
I am so found on the original look of the model 1
I also tell myself this in order to save money.
About time someone did this video !!!! Great stuff
the mk1 looks so much better with its batman design.
The main sell point on V2 is the screen no doubt. Both rock either way 😅
I would counter the main selling point is the battery life. Under 2 hours in thr original is a bit sad

Great update but still bummed out there is no volume control.
Me too!
Can you do a test of the mic? Also what is the colour scheme on the old device? Thanks!

@@1wildrogue Thank you! 😀 Cool name 😁
I second this, would love to hear some recordings from the in built mic
Can i make drum and bass on one of these, debating out of holding for one of these or upgrading my ableton software

This guy just bought it to support and I just cant get one feels like the rarest thing on the planet
I hang out in the M8 discord a lot, so I got notified quite early when the first batch was available.
Next preorder for august 28th 7am PDT. Best fast
