This is a Lexus LX450 , which is the Lexus version of the Toyota Landcruiser.
This truck is appointed with only the best!
From Dobinson and Fox shock suspension setup with a 30m spacer, it gives it just the right lift to stuff in some 37" Toyo Mts.
The stance is perfect.
This LX450 started off life in the Lexus white, but now is wrapped in charcoal, throughout. Not even a hint of the original white anywhere, including door jams and window trim!
This looks like a 2022 LX450, if they made them new today.
So many nice features that we will discuss in the video.

It’s a beast I just bought 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro I was trying to get a 2023 a new one my daughters uncle he’s been the head salesman for the Toyota dealership not far from where I live then like everybody I know goes to him because he takes care of everybody when I went up there they didn’t have any trucks I mean they did but not anything that I want it he sold them all and I want to 2017 through 2023 so either I want up to his dealership the only thing they had was a 2020 Ford four cylinder pretty much like a basic model and I didn’t want 2024 even if it wasn’t a basic model so this other dealership the girl that works there like I know her from just going in there sometimes and this guy trade it in his 2018 how did 2 inch lift kit immaculate silver he had the I’m trying to remember what they’re called that when you open your doors I those strips you can get it in protects the paint when you open your door they’re in expensive but like even a lot of people hit the doors with their feet I noticed on used vehicles not this guy I’ve had it for two months and when I’m done well you’re never done most of the way to things I want to get in then I’m gonna try to find a Land Cruiser my uncle actually has a 1987 forerunner that he bought brand new that’s garage cap I don’t know if he’s gonna let it go or not but I would just buy it and have it for to have another toy plus it’s a stick shift I remember when I first started driving back in the 90s everybody I knew love stick shift are the white SR5 my brother has a auto shop and he buys a lot of hearts and night he just comes across a lot of vehicles and good prices but I’m starting to see the land cruisers everywhere have you ever seen Joe Rogan‘s Land Cruiser if you haven’t you definitely gotta check that out that thing will blow your mind by to see the seat that he put in the thing like this thing has been re-done like a brand new vehicle full build there is a few videos I seen online that a guy who actually I guess his company who did the work and he’s actually driving the Land Cruiser for like a half an hour and he’s talking about everything that they did to it if you haven’t seen it definitely check it out 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦾🦾🦾💪💪💪💪👍👍👍👍👍
When you wrap your plate like that I mean I heard the guy I just seen it last week for the first time and the guy was saying that people do it when they put their vehicles in car shows I think guy deafly gonna rent my plate and see if I can get away with it
Oh I was using the talking text at the end of my message when I said some thing about the police I was saying about the police they have tag readers plate readers as long as the I guess the computer in the car that can read the plate I heard they can ride through a parking lot and if they have like the black boxes on the back of their cars they can scan blank a lot of tags they will ride to a parking lot like a Walmart or something like that and somebody didn’t pay their insurance or something like that got bad tags on them they sit around and wait for you to leave and pull you over but yeah they should let people choose the color of their tags and if it’s that much of a big deal they should have the stuff that we can buy that doesn’t prevent the tags from being read by their computers and their cars is Chyna messed up though because if it’s like a person who gets a lot of tickets for like speeding like a young kid or something they can ride up the street and if the young drivers driving down the other way more than likely they’re going to end up busting a U-turn and going to mess with that younger driver I have seen it done on the Internet I’ve seen people argue with cops and tell me you only pulled me over because you knew who I was and I’m sure they do that if people got exhaust systems on their cars and stuff like that I heard California is terrible with that stuff

200% true, they dont make it like they used to. With Dobinsons + Fox setup on 37s and a 3 inch lift makes this a dangerous machine that will literally cruise over everything. Built in good taste and loved the review

In our part of the world, folks love their cruisers and they go to great lengths to keep them maintained. We just feel really left out in terms of access to new parts and mods. Old and chinese parts we have a stockpile of and can get almost everything.

You know what gets me about half these people? They build these land cruisers like this and would never even dream of taking it off road, preferring to drive it like it’s a “luxury vehicle”…. Not saying this guy is like that, but MANY are.
Secondly, you always here the stupid questions from some dork who knows nothing about what he’s even asking, when they say something like “Dude, is it triple locked”? Meanwhile, they don’t even even know what that really means, and even if they do, they will NEVER use it. Because you don’t have to lock both front and rear differentials AND the center differential when you cruise through the Walmart parking lot!! Being an off roader for decades, I have respect for other guys that build these trucks AND THEN USE THEM… I have no respect for the phonies who just build them to cruise to Walmart.
The only thing that I can think that a couple of messed with the tag because they have those tag readers the police as long as the tag readers can read the tags but I don’t know about any California cops I watch a Lotta different channels and daily driven exotics Those guys are from Canada but they have a business in California and pretty much I think their tags are dealer tags because of their business and I actually heard the cops tell them well if you’re in our state you Gotto go by our laws no that’s not the truth because if you have a dealer plate then that vehicle is legit Lee not on the road yet so they can’t mess with you for really anything but the California that greedy state I guess they tell their cops right as many tickets and shit as you can
Think you gotta do a side by side with the Japanese spec 1996-97 HDJ81 L edition it's basically a Lexus LX450 but turbo diesel and limited to 500 units built

That Lux (sp?) sensor is sweet. Not to nitpick but I think it would look a lot better if the flares had the beading between the flare and the body. Awesome 80!

This is about as perfect an 80 could be! My 80 also has the same AOE bumper and Cruiser Tech sliders and 4x4 labs rear bumper (Go Cesar!). But the wrap/paint combo and 37’s and lift are the perfect esthetic combo for the 80! Man, how come I haven’t seen this rig rolling around in SoCal, I’m here too! I gotta head over to cars and coffee to check you guys out! That’s at the Outlets at San Clemente in the background, right?

Where can you get the ARB triple lock installed where they integrate it into the existing OE lights in the dash cluster? That is super cool. I live in SC and would love to do that with my 96 80 series. I only have the center locker currently.

Hmmm, I wouldn't know, the LX450 I filmed. For sure likely 99% of 80 seires/LX450s didn't see dirt with the original owners, but once price came low enough, these were bought up by the overland crowd, but know those prices are up again, know that everyone knows what they are capable of...

Wish to see this one off road in the mud let’s see how the triple lock works? Or maybe this one is just the beach ball afraid to get wet , it’s a very nice 80 I just hope that you have second one to enjoy the real purpose of that vehicle.
I do. That LX450 wasn't mine, but I have 2 FZJ80s and a HDJ81. 2 of them locked, and hit trails.
Jamie, where is the compressor located in thi 13:59 s rig? I'm doing the same, adding a set of front and rear lockers on my cruiser. But I need ideas of the compressor location. Thank you.

Very nice truck, great build. Toyotas are our Jeeps down here in NZ and Oz. It's such a shame you guys don't get the 70 series in the US. I'd love to see the crazy stuff Americans would think up to do with one of those. The late 80's and through the 90's was the golden era of JDM 4WDs, I have a '93 Hilux Surf (the turbo diesel manual transmission version of the 4Runner you guys get out there). I drove an '88 SWB Izusu Big Horn for 10 years. They know how to build trucks in Japan and they built them to be worked on back then. Owning one is a pleasure if you work on your own vehicles and your mechanic will love you if you take it to their shop.
You are right! I do have a 73 series (On my channel) and love it. 1HZ motor, on 37s and spring over Axle lift. It's name is Godzilla, and it's a force to be reckoned with!

Nice build but I feel the color scheme is too monotone. You could have tried accents of red on the cladding or the alloys, it could have stolen the show. Just a perspective!
Some times a accent color, like vinyl wrap, like I did on my Blue Nightshadow Pearl, can make a difference.

5-10 years depending how you treat it.. If you scratch or tear a door, then you can just re-wrap that section.

That really is a nice color/texture combo. Nice work. If the paint on my 450 wasn't so nice, wheeling pinstripes not withstanding, I'd do something like this. 37s look perfect.
37s look great, but....
fuel economy goes down quite a bit... and becomes sluggish.
35s is the sweet spot!

Any good lx450 build always involves yanking all the cladding off at some point.

What kind of window tint is that?
The Lexus and LC 80 came with factory tint in the window that had a reflective privacy mirror effect.

Bowfin rack would look great on that build.
Bowfin has a nice side profile, but Prinsu is better priced, for essentially the exact same rack. they use the same bars.
@@CruisingTheLand I'm biased. Pat is a very good friend of mine and a sponsor of our Cruiser event in Ouray. My brother has one on his 60 and is extremely happy with it. Great build quality and the front wind deflector flows very well with the lines of the truck. Pat is a perfectionist, to say the least.
