@ I direct commercials and music videos and have played around with UA-cam’s video compression a lot. If you export and upload in 4k, even if it’s shot in 1080, the video will be 5x cleaner and crisper. YT is still using the same 1080 compression that they’ve had for a decade while the 4k compression is fairly updated and efficient. Also if the media team is reading this, if you add the slightest bit of imperceptible grain to a video it will bypass a lot of UA-cam’s compression and will look even better.
