It's great to watch someone come to understand, one song at a time, how not only is this band full of virtuoso musicians, they are the only band I've ever seen that combine that with the rare ability to reach right into your soul and make you FEEL things. That's why they're so important. They improve lives. They're magic. And that might be the only guitar solo that has made me cry.

The song "Unleash" live version has fewer views than the official studio version (3.4M) because the official version (that you watched) has the animation section and is a lot more popular. Daydreaming MV filmed in Taiwan. :) The lyrics for HATE? was written by the lead vocalist, Saiki-san. The main lyricist is usually Miku-chan, the rhythm guitarist. Although, lately, Saiki-san has been writing some of the lyrics for some of the songs. It started with their song 'Corallium'.

Harnassing the ego to serve the song, trusting their success to their writing talents, diligent practice on their instrument, rehearsal of their compositions until harmonious perfection was achieved and moving ahead and breaking new gate NO MATTER WHAT = BandMaid!
"Unleash!!!!!" was song 5 and "HATE?" was song 27 during the BAND-MAID 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR FINAL at Yokohama Arena. It was a three and a half hour long concert. At that same concert "Daydreaming" was song 13 on that set list. I got up at 2:30 AM to watch the live stream on Thanksgiving Weekend. I saw all three songs performed earlier that year when they played Detroit in May. I only used my phone to video once at Detroit: Kanami playing the solo in "Daydreaming" -she's such a genius.
The guitar and bass duel was something special for live shows. I was at the debut of that duel in Chicago months before this concert. The crowd energy was intense. Best song of the night. If you get a chance to see them live absolutely do not miss that opportunity. They’re the best band this short century.
Yokohama Arena was a long, epic show. 33 songs, 3 hours 40 minutes. Yet, I actually prefer their shorter, smaller venue shows in Japan. 22 or 23 songs. More intense, more frenzied crowd and very much a communal atmosphere.
The 10th Anniversary Spin-off Show was awesome too...varied song selection and intimate (if you didn't see it, search the Honkai upload someone has done). The two shows together cover most kinds of awesome!!
Daydreaming's a solid choice, and yeah, that solo's pretty epic. Band-Maid's got about 130 songs, more or less (and an EP coming next year) so there's a lot more to dig into, and pretty much all of their songs are good to great. Their live shows are amazing. Killer music of course, great stage presence, and you can tell they like each other and have fun doing what they do. They make you feel like the more you cheer, the more power you give them and the better they play and sing (Saiki especially). They start pretty much every show with six bangers played nonstop to wake up the crowd, and any decent crowd will be pretty lit. If you ever do go to a live show though, just keep in mind that a lot of the audience is going to be tall-ass dudes, and they'll be pretty packed in (most Band-Maid shows sell out) so if you're not getting VIP tickets that get you early entry, you might want to think about if there's somewhere in the venue where you can sit on the side or up on a balcony.
Your reactions are fun to watch…they seem very genuine and we Madiacs feel the same way even if we are too reserved (meaning old) to show it with the same level of giddiness. Of course, the energy drink doesn’t hurt either 😂. I really hope you get to see Band-Maid live in person. They were better than I could’ve imagined!! The vocal ability and harmony of the singers, and the skills and sense of each instrumentalist are world-class. They have over 130 original songs, and have not had a bad one. Great reaction to 3 fantastic songs...but wait...there's more...😂😂😂 "Unleash!!!!!" the OMV, is full of Easter eggs about the Maids and their personalities. As you learn more about each of the members and watch a ton of Band-Maid, go back an watch the OMV. See if you pick up on the Easter eggs. The live performance is amazing! So is the performance of "Hate?". Only the Maids can take a song about pure hatred and make it sound fun, hard and positive. One of the bonus of some of attending an Okyu-ji (what the Maids call their live concerts, which translates to "serving" to keep in with line with the Japanese Maid Cafe theme) is these added/extended solos. The original recording has a much shorter guitar solo. And then there's "Daydreaming", which is my favorite song...and Kanami's favorite song to play. I think it's one of her best solos and catches most people as a surprise...and what a pleasant surprise to say the least. At the 10th Anniversary Tour Finale, where the two live MVs you watch were from, Kanami did a awe inspiring extended intro to "Daydreaming". A stunning tribute to her grandmother who recently passed. If the MV hit you in the heart...if you find the live version...wow...just wow. Keep rocking with the Maids...the journey is long...but oh so satisfying. PO! 🕊 🤘😆🤘

The Daydreaming guitar solo may be my favorite guitar solo of all time. Proof short simple things in music can be amazing when done right.
