Best way to test it is at a track....I tested on a 2002 C32AMG on a dragstrip a stock filter a k&N filter and a Green filter results were Green filters best run K&N 2nd and stock third.
Hi! You will definitely feel a better response in the throttle at low rpm, about the fuel economy it is nothing you will notice, I have tuned my car with stage 1 and it reduce the fuel economy depending on how u drive 😜 but overall I'm happy with the K&N air filter. I know some companies use K&N air filter if you want a stage 2 on your car so I mean it can't be bad... I hope you got your answers👍
@@jimgee2676 for example stage 1 is remap and air filter only, stage 2 is bigger injectors, slightly bigger turbo, intercooler and etc. and so on to stage 3 where you are changing the pistons and rods to stronger or lighter, camshafts, valves and etc. but thats way too expensive, better buy car with more stock horsepower.
im curious about the fuel difference. i have a 2.8 vr6 benzin engine and the does already 1:6 and 1:7 in the city. they say with the k&n filter it will do 1:5 and 1:6. is that true? can u confirm this?
Hi mate! First of I have a stage 1 tune on my car (to increase power) and I can't tell if there would be any difference in the fuel economy if my car was stock, but as it is right now I can't see any difference in the fuel economy at least nothing I have noticed or thought about 😊 I think there is other things to consider if you want to lower your fuel consumption like service etc..
@@noahmurillo6048 I got it from a local company near me, they don't have any social media unfortunately but if you are going to tune your car there are some companies that can reach 200+ hp with stage 1 only since the engine in cla 200d is identical with the cla 220d 👍
Good video man but as far as the filter I put one in my 2021 Toyota Corolla xse and it ruined MAF sensor😕 but by the way nice background music.. what artist is that?!
Hello! I Have A klasse w176 premium with same engine 200D but 4matic ! How is the maximum nm SAFE for the 7Gdct automatic gearbox? I think go to stage 1 with air filter after christmas !
Hi! I have stage 1 on my car, I did it before installing K&N air filter but I never dyno my car so I can't give you some correct numbers but they said from 136hp-170hp and from 300nm to 350 or 370nm (I think). I definitely think that stage 1 is safe for every car. I see stage 1 as with how much hp/nm the car should have come from factory. I hope you got the answer ✌️
As far as I know you only need to mist the filter with oil when you take it out to clean it, the filter comes already a little bit wet/oily when you take it out from the plastic bag. 👍
All the filters come pre-oiled from factory, you also don't want to add more oil as this can be sucked into the MAF sensor then give you some issues. Only apply minimal oil if you do clean it.
Even you changed the stock filter with a new stock filter, you heard the difference just because the old one was too dirty.. So I think that the K&N didnt make any difference.. If you know what I mean ;)
Mint video dude, exactly what i needed to see to convince me to get one 👌
Thank you! Don't forget that you don't need to change like ever ;) just remember to rinse and clean it after some time
Definitely it was worth it 😍👌
Always remember to factor in the stickers, they add anywhere from 3-6hp 😂
I guess it's a thing now right 😜
Class 😂

I guess you are right mate, I have seen some good reviews about green filters as well 👍
Well done Elvis, great video and very explanatory... I look forward to more and more videos. 👍👍
Awesome, thank you!
What you undo at the back. Why can't you just undo the front two screws
LOL popped collar and sun glasses. Proper mechanic
3:36 Was this air filter a little oily or completely dry when you took it out of that bag?
yoow your not the only one, mine was oily too. i dried the excess with a cloth before i install it. It caused my intake to smoke
Amazing what this does mate
Bra jobbat!🙌🏼😍
Sounds like a old taxi lol what engine have you got
Lmao
It’s a diesel
Am I just hearing the lifters tic? It’s always a lifter tic in these German beauty’s ✌🏽
That is common on most 4cyl turbo engines. Even a few I6 and V6 engine sedans I have owned make the ticking lifting sound.
@@VanquishMediaDE yeah, my 2.5l I6 m54 and and 3.7l duratec ticks from the hydraulic-lifters too. Comes with the territory ✌🏽
Thats normal on these german beautys because they dont know how to engineer a solid engine. 🤣🤣
thank you
From the “skinny” sweatpants to the fully zipped windbreaker to the ladies sunglasses - this is the most European looking human I’ve ever seen 😂
That's cool
does engine run better now ..did fuel economy change ..is it worth the money ..thanx

nice bot comment, you already say this on another video
Hi. Did it use any reliability issues?
Hi! I have had no issues what so ever since I replaced the filter, you just need to keep in mind that you have to clean it after a while. 👍
This just another reason why not to buy a Mercedes. He literally taking the car apart just to get air filter out.
Bruh you sound dumb 😂
I mean if you cant unscrew 2 screws then don't buy it
Looks like more than 2 screws
Super Visi
that was the same reaction i got when i had a look at my air filter.

I just purchased it . I honestly don’t hear a difference in the sound . And I will see on over all performance 😀
Sounds good mate, I do have a stage 1 tune on my car which might affect the performance a little but I hope you get some good results as well.👍
I believe you are supposed to buy their sprayable oil and mist it down before install if I’m correct.
As far as I know you only need to mist the filter with oil when you take it out to clean it, the filter comes already a little bit wet/oily when you take it out from the plastic bag. 👍
Only after cleaning. New filter comes oiled
so oil helps capture dust I would suppose?

Only apply minimal oil if you do clean it.
no it has oil on it.....
then leave it alone ..
to much oil will destroy the mass air flow sensor.
Where did u got that bro?
www.autodoc.se/kn-filters/7278517
Do it on a Maserati ghibli please I see no videos on UA-cam

it may be true but the throttle response was much better ☺
More dust intake
How so?
nice tractor sound
That car sounds like a diesel, sounds horrible
With or withour k&n still sound like a tractor.
You need to dyno the car with stock and then K&N , doing it by how the car drives can just be all in your head
lol
People are delusional, it barely adds 1 hp and will bring way more dust into the engine, not worth it.
