I think the player outshines whatever pickup. The guy is goin' places. He gives the pickups some real justice.
Such a sick player! And great sound too!
Very very good.
now gonna take trip to your site again
Che suono ragazzi
Awsome mics!
Almost strat like! 😎
Finally put in my uncovered bridge in the les paul a few weeks ago, replacing the burstbucker. A truly phenomenal pickup. I might consider replacing the neck as well.
is it brighter and more aggressive than the burstbucker?
@@marvelharris9540 yes
@@olfl4160did you have a burstbucker pro? I had one and sold it, way too bright for me, so the bare knuckle is even brighter?
@@Mazut0 I had a Burstbucker 2 in the bridge. The Mule was a bit brighter than that but it is hard to compare as my mule is uncovered and the BB wasn't. Primarily it just feels more dynamic and touch sensitive, which could be due to it being lightly potted as well.
It is a bright humbucker though. That´s what I like, there might be something else if you are looking for something darker.
Sounds just about perfect for what I'm looking for. Would be interested to hear what pots / wiring are in there if possible, please?
For me mule neck and rif raf bridge
I have a set in my mustic man stingray . The neck pup is great. I think a4 magnets are the best in neck pickups . The bridge pickup is good . More for cleans and very low overdrive in my opinion , in the particular guitar I have
These pick ups sound amazing! And awesome playing
But they are not.
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I ordered some of these pickups, I am curious if I can get even close to his sound.!
Only if you have that Marshall Plexi
Were these pups potted?
Sick tone and sick playing from an amazingly talented player! Tinkering to put a set in my 58 Reissue as I'm not finally satisfied with the tone after all height adjustments I tried... Should I go uncovered?
Uncovered pickups definitely have a tighter, brighter sound, so if you're missing a little cut then it could be worth a shot
@@BKPickups thanks for the immediate reply, definitely considering it. Bite and clear brightness is what I’m lacking - those custombuckers are ok but not where I want them to be. Would you recommend a mule set or mule bridge plus a different one in the neck?
How about antiquity of semour duncan
Are these potted or un potted? I just put a set of Mules (unposted) in my SG and im getting such brilliant and present tone! No mud, no muffled tone, clear and articulate and chimey! I honestly think that unpotted is the way to go if youre going for maximum tone over gain!
What does that mean “potted unpotted”?
@@macshock632 potted refers to the pickups being dipped in wax (a pot of melted wax)so the wax fills all the crevices of the pickup, solidifies, and helps aid with removing unwanted noise from the pickup. Unpotted just means the pickup did not undergo this process. Nowadays its common for most pickups to be wax potted.
@@christophercortez7191 thank you !
You can get them Either way
@@ianmckinney1053 im aware, i was just asking if the ones in the video were potted or unpotted so I could know which I was listening to. I went unpotted, the added openness, airyness, and added harmonic detail is so worth the extra feedback.
are the mule High , Medium or Low output humbauckers ?!!! Thanks !!!
The Mules would generally be considered low output, given their vintage P.A.F spec, but they certainly aren't shy!
@@BKPickups Perfect!!! Thats the answer i wanted to hear ... Great ...
I love their sound, and now with your answer ... i'm sure that they are what i've been dreaming of ...
may i ask you ...
Does your shop only ship from UK ?
I'm in POrtugal and i would like to avoid, Custom extra taxes ...
0:57 Wow! that sound!
Is that the neck pickup or both?
Neck
@@seventwistsclockwise sounds like neck, but realistically both pickups sound the same in the neck? its the location on the string that causes it to loose its 'output bite'
if muddy, a series '102' capacitor will bring it back
Is it true the "MULE" is pretty much the same as the ones that OTPG makes? his P.A.F clone pickups?
Somewhere i had read the guy that makes the OTPG pickups is the one who taught Tim Mills?
I really want a OPTG set but not only are they extremely hard to get but expensive!
OTPG is a dear friend, and has certainly been a sounding board during the early days of Bare Knuckle. Ultimately, both pickups are faithful P.A.F recreations, so they are going to be quite similar.
@@BKPickups Thanks and just to confirm, Out of your entire pickup Line the Mule would be the best one to buy for someone after one of his now iconic P.AF' clones?
@@These_go_to_eleven_1959 absolutely yes!
Exceptional player but the tone is strange to me in this clip. Sounds like there is a filter on, maybe a wah pedal stuck in one position or something.
yea it is strange. Sounds like it’s coming out of HIFI monitors through a load box and they recorded the room sound with a phone camera. just my opinion.
yes, its not a good advert for the tone.
In my opinion, the BKP PAFs are always sound like this, not very close to the real vintage vibe.
Bit of a racket
How you figure? care to elaborate?
I only heard one tone. Nice playing though.
That is the lowest I've ever seen anyone set a bridge humbucker. The tones sound great though.
Had a set and hated them. Would not buy them again. Too many better choices IMO !!!
I hate this dude!! Asolutely hate him!! I cant play 1 style decent enough and he comes up with Yngwie style in the trilogy video, this has more bonamassa influence....why, how!!! God Dang IT!!!
We really want to hate him, but he's way too nice!
Sounds muffled. Great playing though.
muffled???
@@coldwar1977 I noticed it too.. there is no string noise of high end brilliance.. hard to explain
