So If I buy a whole New Iginition set With matching ( key, iginition + key, doorlock, Ecu and immobilzer) that are al linked together my SLK should start?
Yes should work but make sure you have ECU with same part number with old one. At least facelift ECU does not work on pre-facelift and vice versa. No need to replace door and ignition lock cylinders, just move mechanical key from your old keyfob to new one.
@@zJanneKz okay. Yeah I lost my one and only key for my Mercedes. Now I need an new ignition set :( I found a replica set from another car with the same engine specs but the ECU has different part numbers, different Bosch numbers, different hardware numbers and different software numbers. But the ECU set wil come with its own ignition, immobilzer doorlock + key. wil that not work then? It comes from a car with the same engine and engine specs
@OnlineMilkMan did you ever get it to work after all? Even with different part numbers ? I also bout a set of ecu,key and immobilizer and everything but different part numbers!
As far as I know, factory new ECU is plug and play but after around 50 starts it locks itself to that particular car and can't be moved to another car except if immobilizer box and key are took from same car or immobilizer chip is moved like I did.
Excellent videos man. Thanks!

@@hugorodriguez6366 I bought also a different ECU set but from the another car make and model and same engine specs. Started up immediately.
Is it possible to code new ECU by Star
Diagnosis?

Hi Matti, thanks for the great video. Did you do this because of getting a "Start Error" ? I have that on our car.
