I know this tutorial has been out for a while now but thanks for the explanation. Almost no beginner left handed video explains the right side out and the wrong side out which made it incredibly difficult to decipher what I was doing wrong when I needed to invisible decease or work into the front loop and back loop only. Thank you again

thank you for left-handed tutorials! it is excellent and extremely helpful that you are highlighting the parts of the stitches you are describing. your tutorials are fabulous!

This is super helpful, as I have just finished my first amigurumi yesterday and am now realizing that it’s inside out 🤦🏾‍♀️ but at least the next one will be correct! Thank you

Dont feel bad, it's a very easy mistake to make - I did it too when I was learning! You'll love the look when it's right-side out, plus then you'll be able to make invisible decreases too (see my video on that if it's new to you - it'll be another game changer!)

Oh thank you so much for this, I just saw a post that said lefties always have to turn their work at the end, but I turn it in the begining and I thought it was wrong. So basically you have to put the starting tail inside the piece for it to face the "right way" I guess?

Yep, that's it! (There's no difference between the technique for left- and right-handers except that we lefties work left-to-right or counter-clockwise and our finished pieces are mirror images of the same piece made by a right-handed crocheter.)

So when do you turn your work? Do you wait until you start a row of decreases, or at which point?

It really doesn't matter - you can turn it at any point after the first few rounds and before you stuff it! It's probably good practice to turn it earlier on, so you'll never accidentally forget, but whatever works best for you is the right answer :)
